but they will be less inclined to read all the emails if they get inundated, one email, from the heart, and with suggestions that will help all of us including tescos,
just my personal thoughts, we have to do something to try to resolve this, not just take it lying down, I'm sure we are all open to suggestions, maybe send Sir Terry the link to this forum and let him see lst hand the affect its had on us folks,Live for today, for tomorrow is promised to no-one.

It was where T's wrongly priced their petrol on the pumps at 40p per litre.

My smallish weekend 'shop' last night only came to a little over £40 (cupboards still pretty full from the good times) - but it wasn't done in Tesco! Any coupons I would have used were all legit manufacturers ones so Tesco WOULD have got their money back. I won't be doing any shopping in Tesco - unless they have any 'too good to miss deals' during the suggested 4 week trial and, if most couponers stick to their guns and shop elsewhere, each individual store will almost certainly notice a small drop in sales. It might just be significant enough to make Tesco re-think - especially if Sainsbury do what they have mentioned in the press this week re issuing millions of coupons.:j New but learning fast!! :j0

IMHO the blame lies with the scammers. The policy change was not a knee-jerk reaction to Martin's appearance, I am certain. Their policy was ALREADY being reviewed and the massive abuse of Pedigree/Archant coupons decided it.
The way to try to address the problem lies with writing to Sir Terry as above.
my post was removed, so i feel i have to reply to your post again, as leaving this post in yet deleting my post makes it look like my intention was bad, when infact it was the complete opposite. the intention of sending martin lewis an email from us all was to ask for his help and advice on this one, i thought he would be the best person to contact tesco (as he owns this site) with our worries and concerns and just to get some answers, a company like tesco is more likely to listen and answer martins questions than an influx from coupon users.
sorry Browntoa if you thought this was a vent, i was just trying to do something positive, instead of just moaning about it, in my world just sitting moaning and listening to the rumours creates more problems0 -
last post I'm leaving in this thread
moved posts to this vent thread
http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=1986673
you are complaining about Tesco's decision and dragging Martin into it
its Vent" and not "Discount Codes" material
you all know I give the thread a hands off approach and never normally delete anything , now I moved the posts over to vent I'm unable to merge anymore posts into that thread , so I will have to delete them unless you post in the thread aboveEx forum ambassador

Tesco should have implemented a limit in all stores earlier. It may not have been what people wanted, but unlimited coupons made it worth while for gangs and large families to make organised visits.
Even an internet ban would have stopped it, and the rest of us on here could have sourced real coupons, which is what most used to do.
An head of coupons, who could react to any dodgey coupons the same day, and contact all stores immediately, would have helped.
Tesco's inability to say no, led by greed of course, was a major problem.
Martin Lewis is a man driven by helping overs save money. I got thousands back in bank charges thanks to this man alone. When the OFT stopped bank charges reclaiming, by interfering, he was livid. So he won't be surprised that people are livid that over exposure as stopped this money saving policy. He said people were saving £10 a week on GMTV. We know it was many times that.
But Martin took a lot of stick after people put their money in the Icelandic banks, after reading about them on his site. The criticism on here, by people who thought they would loose all their money (they didn't) got to him, and he eventually posted a response himself. He may do so on this thread. But this is HIS site, and he won't allow it indefinately.
I think he made a mistake on this one, but he was doing what Martin does - spreading the word - and i myself cannot criticise the man. He's a national treasure, who should be knighted. He wouldn't have wanted this, any more than we did, and he will be upset to think some of his members are turning on him, or that his actions may have lead to a change in policy.
So i agree with Browntoe that any rants about Martin should be kept to the vent thread, or if you feel the need - PM's. I wouldn't alllow someone to have a go at me in my home, and this is the home of Martin Lewis - one of the few people in the industy not under the control of big business. Even our PM cannot boast that.0 -

Does anybody know what the internet coupon policy for the waitrose store in Newark is:beer:
Many thanks0 -
Went to our T's today and no MOCS were accepted not even the Waitrose conditional spend one. SA who has served us before and took all our MOCS called over someone more senior and she said theyve stopped taking them as of last night but to keep trying as 'they will probably change their minds next week'
Ah well it was good while it lasted I guess. Im just glad I managed to save a few £s over the past few months.
I certainly wont be crying over this - I think some reactions by some are OTT - yeah we all like to save a few £s but all good things come to an endOpinions are like ar*eholes - everybody has one!!!!0
