I just want to confirm the above, coupon acceptance stopped today at 3pm.
I dont post often unless i've actually found something but thank you to everyone and their efforts with this thread. i am so devastated by this news...is it -
FOREVER?
I have religiously been couponing for about 2 years, my Tescos were very accepting (and the duration should tell you that I never used a bad coupon!).
But today is/was the day i was financially ruined... !!!!!! did martin say????0 -

Can't see it happening.
Manufacturers are onto it so i should imagine this is the end, at least for the internet MOC.
Can't wait to see Tesco's last quarter profits early next year. The City will be baffled.Won't buy nuffink without a discount0 -

:mad::mad: Who fancies having some fun? :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Go to your local Tescos, sneakily check they have implemented this new ban, then do a trolley dash around the store, picking up the most obscure items that will be very hard for staff to put back in the right places. Make sure you have lots of 'melty' ice cream and chilled items that cannot be put back on the shelves once the 20 min cold chain time is up, then ......
and this is the best bit.............
choose your till carefully, preferably your least favourite old trout and unload all your shopping onto the belt. Ask them to wait for you to unload everything before they start scanning, then (keeping a straight face) say "I do hope you'll still take my MOCs" when they start to refuse and spout the new rules you can just say you've changed your mind about shopping in Tescos and would they mind putting it all back as you are off to Waitrose/Asda/Morrisons/Aldi/Co-op etc :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Not only will this keep all the SAs busy putting back all the unwanted shopping (well they won't have so many customers at the tills) but also the wastage costs will go sky high for all the stock that has been out of the chillers and cannot be resold.
Don't forget to wave and thank your usual SAs on your way out and keep your fingers crossed that this is only a temporary blip0 -
Just back from Meir Park, can confirm they have the signs up that other people have reported. Yellow A4 size, cellotaped to the huge poles that go up from each till to the ceiling. They point into the store- i had expected them to be aimed at the Sa's.
The lad i spoke to was a 'red team' member and hadn't been told anything. I joked about wearing a black armband and he said he would put the coupons through for me anyway. Decided against it as i don't want to get him into trouble.
Hubby said i'm on suicide watch- LOL. Bit dramatic- but i am well and truly gutted.
xx:happylove
