from 3pm today Tescos have stopped taking MOC unless you buy the product.
This is the wording of the signs going up in all tescos.

We'll happily accept your coupons if you've bought the product.
This includes Tesco and supplier coupons.
Unfortunately if you haven't bought the product we can't accept the coupon.
    Thank You

If you have some coupons to use i suggest you try tonight as many of the stores proberly haven't implemented the policy yet

well we are STILL goung to the gfs, we,ve bought the tickets booked our room and will meet up with whoever is still going, and we can still have a party in one of the rooms, my blackberry vodkas nearly ready, we are all "friends" on here, I for one dont want to lose contact with you, we've got loads if things we can still post about, so come on stop being so down hearted, theres loads of ways to beat this, boycotting tescos is one, and I bet most of us wont be so wasteful now, that corned beef stew will do 2 days now instead of one, lol. chin up everyone, theres still the freebies, got 3 to post later, but got my bruv in law on his way round,so got to go and put the kettle on, see I can say all this now and not get "told off" for wasting moc space,
Live for today, for tomorrow is promised to no-one.

never complain about growing old,far too many people have been denied that privilege.

Right guys - this is what me thinks after finally catching up on the thread after pc down for a few days. I did a small shop this afternoon and used my mocs ok.

First I will try to do a shop using my mocs to test the water - if no go will dump all my stuff at the checkout as my little one woman protest.

Then I intend to do all my sunsequent shopping at my local Waitrose - watch their profits rise!!

Am going to hold onto my mocs as once T's get this hopefully widespread treatment they will have a rethink.

IF all else fails we can always discuss other stores who have really good deals on offer and hopefully save loads of dosh that way - and stick two fingers up T's nose.

BTW - BIG BIG THANKS TO PC, HONEY, BROWNTOA, VC, MAD, M4RTIN, GILL, JILL, DR WHO-WHO AND ALL THE OTHERS WHO HAVE BEEN SO HELPFUL THE SHORT TIME I HAVE USED THIS THREAD.

I will report back on my findings.

im glad i did a shop yesterday, even though i had to go to cs to get my coupons put through after the cashier would only take £1 worth.
and they refused to take my farmfoods coupon.

I will be boycotting T's and try Aldi's, Iceland and the local butcher.
I haven't been shopping in my local Express since they stopped taking coupons 3 weeks ago, i just make do

I was never really going to the GFS for the coupons anyway;) I was always going for the blackberry vodka, so I hope you are bringing plenty :D
I am just glad I am going away this week, hopefully when I get back things might have calmed down and Tesco's will realise what a huge mistake they have made, otherwise I will just start using all the stuff I bought in specially in case something like this ever happened. I always made sure I had lots of the non perishable stuff, especially tea bags, toilet rolls, tins etc.
I think it was great whilst it lasted and am grateful for how much money I have saved, better the glass half full than half empty ;)
Be thankful for what you have because it could all be taken away tomorrow.;)

    Can't see it happening.

Manufacturers are onto it so i should imagine this is the end, at least for the internet MOC.

Can't wait to see Tesco's last quarter profits early next year. The City will be baffled.
  • forgot to say there was about 7 trollies full of stuff dumped at the till in my T's.
Luckily I had only bought 2 lots of toilet tolls to use coupons I had but when to happy scanner cos I knew she would tell me if the policy had changed
