The new policy seems to affect most of the stores in yorkshire including the expresses.

Does anyone know if we can get a refund from clubcard for the good food show tickets? Might still go to meet up with gill, pink and anyone else still going,;) and to get freebies, but not for the two days I was planning.

My store is an Extra and they won't accept them now without purchasing the product.

My T express said they had a visit from someone from head office toady who told them not to accept coupons unless u bought the item. She thought it was a nationwide thing as she had ben told Ts were having problems redeeming all the coupons due to recent media coverage over the last 2 weeks hilighting using cuopons in Ts.
In the Ts Extra the girl thought it was just a trial and it would change soon again - but had to real facts.
Got trouted last night anyway and they told me i couldnt use coupons against small priced things but had to do a real normal shop to use coupons - what a load of rubbish - bet they were rubbing their hands in glee at the ban - that will put a smile on the trouts faces.

Just back from my extra in north wales and they are not accepting coupons unless you buy the product. Happy scanner confirmed it was from 3pm and they weren't even told until 2.30pm
Luckily I managed to use £30 of coupons this morning

Has anyone else seen this found it on the grocer website. Not as good as tesco but you never know ...........

Sainsbury is upping the ante in the supermarket wars, with plans to hand out one billion money-off coupons in its stores.
This is the latest move by chief executive Justin King to keep the pressure on market leader Tesco, which has recently seen weaker sales growth than its peers.
Last month, Tesco decided to offer double loyalty points on its Clubcard in a bid to win more shoppers.
