Went to Tesco tonight after having MOC's accepted this morning - forgot something only to be told no MOC's as per new policy. Right well I just plan to shop harder and smarter as I used to do before i used MOC's anyway. Will be a bummer at Christmas but hey, we will have to see what happens. There are changes all the time and this may last and we can't change it so just get smarter and vote with your feet - you may actually dave a few quid not buying stuff you don't need! I probably will - although I will also drink less!!

I don't really like shopping at tesco anyway and do because of moc's and the fact it is round the corner - but I will change and if I had a choice then I prefer the stuff in Waitrose and Morrisons but will mooch around everywhere to save! Shop harder and smarter!
    3 kids(DS1 6 Nov, DS2 8 Feb, DS3 24 Dec) a hubby and two cats - I love to save every penny I can!

What can I say? It's been lovely knowing you all on here. :(

Our local stores have implemented the new policy today as well. Gutted, after nearly 3 years of careful couponing, keeping to the rules etc., some scammers have just blown us all out of the water.

I blame the scammers, not Martin Lewis, as we were reading reports of a gang of 'raiders' targetting stores in the evening with printed/copied coupons, as long ago as early Summer weren't we?

IMHO the damage started months ago. Smart Coupons have a lot to answer for, making high value mocs available with no proper restriction, tempting those who didn't care about the rules or the longevity of the policy.

MR T, YOU HAVE NOW LOST ME AS A CUSTOMER, AND LOTS OF OTHERS ON HERE. WHY COULDN'T YOU JUST STOP ACCEPTING NON-COUPONNET INTERNET PRINTS, THAT'S WHERE THE ABUSE LAY?

Absolutely terrible news for those who like to save a few quid a week. Those who have been posting in the past, don't matter about the policy my T's will accept them, hang ya heads in shame (you know who you are).
The majority of us on this absolutely wonderful thread have adhered to the policy and even blocked other coupons availability due to the fact that either (i) T's would not be able to claim back the money or (ii) The manafacturer underestimated the use of said coupons. Still wanna meet you all at the GFS though :)

    God bless,

    Mad xxx

well said mad..a couple on here that have been bemoaning the demise of the policy have been previously premoting coupons that were a no-no...yes they know who they are...

Thanks Martin .. i think whats happened is such a balls up from martin.. his own greed for celebrity status wont leave any glitch or policy open until its ripped wide apart by the masses... destroyed.

purlease ..it hardly Martins fault that abuserS have been going in to store with fistfuls of mag and pedigree chump mocs is it!

Changing the subject slightly, can anyone tell me, the coupons we get from Garden Centres, do Waitrose accept these or was it only Tesco's?? xXx

Most Waitrose stores will check that they stock each item on your mocs. They have to stock the exact item in their store. So maybe not OK to use gardening mocs 'IMHO'.

Let's look on the bright side, maybe all our footie teams will win 7 - 1 tomorrow! :D:rotfl:

I take it Waitrose don't stock gardening products??

I am gutted, had I known about this, this morning I would have done a big shop rather than the £27 shop I did.
