I posted this on the "feedback to Discount Vouchers thread" but thought I would post here to warn any of you that this may apply to
BEWARE Tesco.com £10 cashback on £50 Spend
Tescos £10 cashback plus £10 off £50 code
Not direct must register & go via a Cashback website
Members of the website Top Cashback* who have not used Tesco’s online grocery order service before can sign up via it and get £10 cashback. Those who aren’t already members need to register and join, though there’s no cost.
This can then be combined with a discount code there for £10 off £50+ on your first online spend. The code’s valid for one single transaction per household until 31 Dec 09. Delivery costs depend on time & day slots but range from £4 - £6.
I took advantage of the above promotion HOWEVER the cashback isn't registered automatically like it is with every other retailer. When I enquired as to why my cashback had not been registered I recieved this message:-
Your missing cashback claim for Tesco.com (17 Oct 09) has been updated and ACTION IS REQUIRED.
This claim was previously 'On Ice' meaning it couldn't be submitted to the merchant until now (7 days after purchase).
Please can you log into Top CashBack and check if you've received your cashback payment in the meanwhile.
If you have NOT received this cashback and still have the product/service which you purchased then you MUST now submit this claim from within our enquiries section and we will then do our best to chase up and get this cashback credited to your account. Please note however, it can be a lengthy process to chase up Missing Cashback claims, and it is likely in some cases to be 2 - 3 months before we hear back from the retailer. We will however let you know when we hear more.
Thankyou for your patie nce in this matter.
This sounds highly dubious to me as it may not occur to most people to check whether cashback has been registered, paid and/or to report it, and twice! in order to receive any payment - one report within seven days of transaction - when it is "on ice" and again after the seven days.
At best it is alot of 'hoops to go through' and at best sounds like a con
Has anybody else had same experience? - I assume this applies to everyone who took part in this promotion?Coupons Rock! :j0 -

Lisa, you are lucky to be able to track it again in 7 days. I have to wait 3 months before I make a claim!! and that is just for tracking enquiry via Quidco.
I bought car insurance from co-op via Quidco end Sept. And it was not tracked the next day. So I wrote to them & they are saying that I have to wait till End Dec 09 before they can action it. Bl**dy Quidco:mad:.
I bought another car insurance also from co-op in early Oct & it tracked the next day. So comment sense tells me that my Sept £70 is missing! After I submit my "enquiry" in Dec, I'll have to wait another 3 months (max) for the money to go into my account. Very dissapointed with Quidco. I thought I change from Rpoints to Quidco will be better for me but I guess not.RIP my dear dear parent : Mum aged 62 (17/5/1990) & Dad aged 89 (23/1/2012)0 -

:eek::eek: No, not me, but I was in the store at the same time and saw her arguing with the Store Manager too :eek::eek:
I was the one at the tills using Mocs with a happy scanner :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
I will look out for you next time I'm near the reductions cabinet, but I'm too shyto say ........ "are you Mad?" ......... I might get some snooty looks   and be escorted from the store if I ask the wrong person :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Forgot to mention, went to my local Asda about 4pm yesterday and it was absolutely packed. :T All the tills were open and had people queuing down the aisles just like christmas :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
They also had a really good offer on cheese......Cathedral City 400g for £2 instead of £4.80ish, but this was also on offer as buy 3 for £5, so nice cheese for just over £4 a kg :T0 -

My Tesco's has finally implemented the new coupon policy, after 3 weeks I thought they were not going to! It is not quite as bad as I thought. I was talking to a very friendly check-out girl, and she was quite happy to take a couple of coupons off me, even though it was not the exact product. I had a voucher for CIF bathroom spray, I bought CIF multi purpose but because it was still CIF she accepted it. The same with a £3 Airwick voucher, Tesco did not have the type on the voucher but had a different Airwick half price at £2.99, this was allowed so I got it free. plus a penny surplus! It appears the computers that control the tills have not been re-programmed so it is up to the check-out person to accept it. Try it, but avoid the trouts!
I am still using Tesco's, I am not boycotting them. It is not their fault, it is greedy people abusing the system. The regulars who contribute to this and other threads all help each other with new coupon links etc. It is obvious from previous posts that there are people reading these posts, making no contribution at all, just printing and photocopying vouchers.:mad:0 -
Thanks to the person that mentioned that the News Of teh World had a £5 off £30 coupon today for Morrisons. I bought 2 papers!
Morrisons is far cheaper than tesco's anyway but with this extra £5 off, things will be even cheaper - keep up the boycott at Tesco's! They have lost a lot of money from my custom! They got too cockey for my liking to be honest!0
