Called in the Co-op on my way home tonight to get a few bits and bobs and the free Hovis loaf - SA said they no longer accept internet coupons.
Then popped over to Superdrug to get a couple of Plenty - SA called Supervisor who said didn't think they took internet coupons but would ring HO. Took my coupons with her (I was a bit panicky, thought I'd never see them again:eek:), but she did return after a while and said they can't take them as they don't have redemption via Valissis on them. I thought all coupons were redeemed through Valissis now, but sure enough looked closely at them when I got them back in my sticky little mits and it says send to SCA Hygiene.
Will have to try and get Plenty and Hovis elsewhere.
Ahhhhhhhh, feel better now, just had to share my experience today with people who understand ! Thanks for reading.
Sorry to hear about your experience in co-op and superdrug. Not that it really helps you but I got my free loaf from our local (v small) co-op and plenty from (again v. small) superdrug. Neither SA batted an eyelid. I'm sure you'll find other stores more accomodating.
PS Well done with the boycott folks, have felt strangely liberated these past three weeks, not that I wouldn't welcome a return to the old coupon policy!!0 -

Hi everyone
Went into Plymouth City Centre (Armada Way)today and Hovis were doing a huge promotion on their medium white loaf (the one with the orange and white wrapper). They were handing out hundreds of loaves and 30p coupons so perhaps you all could look out for this in other cities around the country. I managed to get 3 loaves and 3 coupons.:j:j2008£3002009£13002010£15002011£41952012£21942013£1494

Used some coupons sucessfully in the newly opened Waitrose near me , yesterday . That is my first time with Waitrose. The SA was really pleasant about it !
Just want to mention , in case there are any Scotch Egg lovers ( like me ) out there , that Aldi ones are really tasty at 99p for a pack of 3. They are teally good for lunchboxes , quick snacks , meals with salad or even a 'grab & go' breakfast . Thanks to you all for all your help & support with couponing over the past 18 months. I'm not missing Tesco's at all !!!0 -
Morning all - off to London soon - see you all TuesdayIf at first you don't succeed, try, try, try - oh bu99er that just cheat0

I have stopped going to Tesco for my shopping, I was spending at least £80-100 per week, and have started to go to Morrisons. I have found that I am spending far less as the prices are so good, anyway, I needed to call in to Tesco for an item I couldn't find in Morrisons and only bought this item, the lady I always went to on the checkout told me that 'she could be sitting knitting a jumper as it had been so quiet', I think the coupon situation must be having an effect (hopefully)0
