Hi guys, Did a very comfortable 7.6 miles last night with the running clu, and no getting lost either!
Kept up with them all the way :T
I have my first cross country 5 miler this Sunday!
...Linda xxIt's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.0 -
well done linda, you're really doing some good runs x0

There was some severe p!ss taking and offers of tow ropes last night after last Wednesday's 'unplanned excursion'
Good job I have a good sense of humour, I doubt I'll live that one down
Really sorry to hear about your Dad Uk!

I know what you mean, Also I HATE treading on snails, (I love snails) And there are still lots of slippery leaves about.
One of the ladies nearly trod on a dead rat last night and one trod on a nail that went right through her running shoe!
didn't go too far into her foot but far enough to cause pain.

Sorry to hear your sad news Uk; hope everything went ok today. Have some hugs from your running buddies
Don't worry I'm sure that beer and kebabs are excellent marathon fuel - we'll be thinking of you and 'virtually' cheering you round the course on Sunday.2021 MFW No.18 £9900/£10,000Mortgage at 21.07.20 £178,999 Mortgage today £150,8910 -

UK - really sorry to hear your news
Hope things are going as well as they can in the circumstances.
Linda - like the sound of that running gear - well apart from the pink bit. I much prefer yellow/orange/anything but pink
Todays run felt good. 6.1 miles in 59:36 (9:45/mile) so slightly improved pace over earlier in the week, but actually I felt so good I set out far too fast and paid the price in the second mile having to slow right down to deal with a stitch. Remainder was nice and consistent. That'll teach me to think the garmin hasn't quite initialised - I really was running silly speeds (with tigger legs)
Final weekly total = 18.2 miles (unlikely to run this weekend cos of lots of commitments, though will get in a fair amount of walking).
Next run planned for Monday I think.
Some all round good running going on again too; red, Simply, Linda, E.C., rich, becky, and chickadee.

The run was fine except for having to put up with what seemed to be hundreds upon hundreds of people getting stressed to death in traffic queues and then fighting each other for parking spaces all for the pleasure of..........watching a pile of wood burn.:p
Becky has popped out for 6 miles in 56:08 at 9:21/mile - another good solid run.:D
Sorry to hear your terrible news, UK!
Obviously everything else will take a back seat for the time being, but you should be fine on Sunday based on all the work you have put in.
