A wet and windy run for me this morning - it was more than a little bit blustery but it woke me up quite nicely. :)

Nice running Becky and Uk - I sometimes run with a backpack but wouldn't fancy running with books in it. Carrying water on my LSR's is enough for me.

sorry I haven't been posting recently, life has been pretty hectic with one thing or another and running has been way down the list of priorities but hoping I have turned a corner now
I managed a 4m & 8m last week and today did a new longest distance.
    Todays was 11miles in 2:11:40 11:58/mile
only about 4/5 weeks til the 1/2 marathon now so well behind on the trainning plan but I must say it has been great to be back out there again though xxx
Hope everyone is running well & doing ok, I will try and catch up again on the thread over the weekend x

Went to run club tonight, it's -1 and we were all freezing!

    The moon looked fantastic though!
I found tonight's short one harder than Wednesday's 8 miler
I felt really stiff, couldn't 'relax' into a comfortable pace at all, I think it's just that it's so cold :( I don't think it helped that I hadn't eaten much today, just a cornish pasty and a yoghurt at Uni at 12.30.

I nearly didn't go tonight -nasty monthly tummy pains :( -but then at the last minute I decided to get off my butt and go, I knew that I'd feel better for going! :)
    ...Linda xx
It's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.

    Sat30/1 parkrun Reading 5K 18:53 (6:05/mile) (4th)

A very frosty Reading this morning meant that the backup 3 lap course was used rather than the usual 2 lapper. The ice on top of flooding on the usual course made it impassable.

But the firmness actually made the course we did run pretty good. Pleased with another solid sub-19 performance and 4th place.

But, yet again another barn storming performance from Becky smashing last week's PB of 23:25 into pieces with a time of 22:48 (7:21/mile). Is there no stopping her.....?

So that completes the tour of 11 different parkruns in two calendar months and what a thoroughly enjoyable experience it was.:D:D

And news of another storming PB performance:

Beer Tins has landed a 22:24 (7:13/mile) at Bromley taking an impressive chunk off the previous best of 22:44. :T

And a new best WAVA of 57.92%.

Well done Mascott - keep it steady tomorrow and see how the knee holds up - might be worth doing a course where you can cut back early if needs be :)
