WOW this thread takes me back...1987 Huntingdon Marathon. 3hrs10mins.
And 2010?
It was interesting seeing a post from a chap on RW 'Sub-3' last night who ran his first sub 60 minute 10 miles in 1969 and his latest in 2005 (when already in his sixties). He's still training hard and at around 3hr marathon pace but that 36 year span of sub 60:00 10 milers is pretty impressive.....Gt NW 1/2 Marathon 21/2/2010 (Target=1:22:59) (6:20/mile) 1:22:47 (6:19):j:j

Hi Ken, that's an impressive time!
Had a rest last night (well actually dashed about cooking lots of things and making bread and stuff, but no running).. going to have a 3-4 mile plod tonight and attempt my 10-miler on Sunday. Which reminds me I have to work out a route...Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -

We're doing either Bushy or Reading...neither look like a top 3 position for me this week though :rotfl::rotfl:!
I'm not expecting a top 10 either. But then again, I might get some kind of kickback from all my recent distance work!Running Club targets 20105KM - 21:00 21:55 (59.19%)10KM - 44:00 --:-- (0%)Half-Marathon - 1:45:00 HIT! 1:43:08 (57.84%)Marathon - 3:45:00 --:-- (0%)0 -
