A gentle, relaxed one tonight but I have to say this high mileage stuff is going pretty well at the moment.

To manage 4 half marathons at 1:40, 1:39, 1:37(as part of a 20 miler) and 1:42 plus three faster 10 milers all in the space of 10 days is definitely a new level of strength.......so looking forward to the rest of this marathon build up. :D:D

Simply - I dont know why you bother with a watch...you know what its going to say!:p

Bj - Dont disappear again, the quality of ranting definitely improves when you're around.:D:D;)

Rachel - Its been going on for years so they are very adept at the way they operate (and how to cover their tracks). But when you compare to parkrun, whose aim is to bring a timed 5K to every town, village and neighbourhood that wants one, EVERY WEEK and FREE OF CHARGE you can guess which operation has the genuine long term health and fitness of the participants as its true concern.

Right, must go and check out a rant.....

Its in events I think...no doubt Rich will find it and link it (waaaaa)

I did feel better but now I just feel scared that they will hunt me down over here

I really need to learn to bite my tongue sometimes!

Nice running Rich - I think your ranting might have scared Rachel away - I hope not we like difference of opinion on here :)

That wasnt a rant - just a statement of opinion, backed up by Wilkie.

Anybody would think that women dont like hanging around with men in shorts!:p:p

Oh, and I can confirm that Becky has no problem expelling bodily gases while running......regardless of who's in earshot (or which way the wind is blowing:p).

Its not even that - I dont mind women having different prizes but what I hate is the idea that women wouldnt want to run in a competitive aggressive environment - of course we ruddy do and the more blokes I beat on the way all the better for my wava - alright I'll never beat the guy at the front but neither will most blokes and that doesnt stop them trying...

    *bites tongue none too successfully*
