That reminds me, since we were looking at annual stats yesterday, how did your 2009 mileage stack up against your planned mileage....must have been pretty close I would imagine...?

Ooo we'll only be 4 venues behind Mr Parkrun himself if we manage to find a venue tomorrow:

Erm i did 1020.14 miles last year. No specific target this year honest ;)

Well ok it was 2000 miles which would be a huge jump but then i was planning on having a 100 mile race in amongst that. Now without that race 1500 will probably be my target now.

Oh I will be doing the Thats Lyth LDWA event on Jan 31st 23 miles approx. The fact that you get a hot meal at the end plus cake etc on the way round is purely coincidence ;) So is the guy i know who said he was asked if he wanted hot dog or quiche at one check point last year.

I seem to remember the target being 1,000 miles (or did I imagine that) which would mean you hit it pretty much spot on.

I'm sure you can manage 1,500 comfortably enough in this next year.:D

Wow kms - that lot will keep you busy this year! Sorry about the Devon 100 being cancelled :(

Rich/Uk I didnt realise you lose the fee if you defer

Boro looks nice - flat and tarmac - shame I didnt remember my racing shoes - typical!

Dont worry Simply - I had an unplanned one on Thursday - just the thought of my togs made me not want to go out :D Hope you feel less tired soon, but remember that the bulk mileage weeks do that to you so it might last for the next 14 weeks or so.

Ha, ha thanks - that's really cheered me up. :p;)

Only joking - I had a headache and felt a bit achy so I'm sure it's just this blimmin cold. I've been craving fruit and fruit juice all day so I think my body is telling me something - I need vit C .............. or a large glass of wine. :rotfl:

Well, I think we've found the perfect parkrun!:D:D

Albert Park in Middlesbrough is flat and the 5K is run entirely on tarmac so despite having very heavy legs from the base mileage earlier in the week I still really enjoyed running around here. Conditions were fine, no snow or ice although a little wet and cold.

Becky was stiff beforehand from the 10K pb earlier in the week but still managed to run 24:16 and finish in 4th position with plenty to spare.

Although we were out early this morning it wasnt as early as some since we did notice a certain olympic marathon runner out training in the torrential rain at about 6-45am.
