Well done Saz on your run, I wear a 1/2 size bigger trainer they are also a mans shoe so the width is better for me. They have been the best trainers I've ever used.0

Kms, so impressed with your race reports, how do you remember in so much detail, learn so much from them
Alias, I love my garmin has made such a difference to my training. Congrats on your fitness test
Simply- thanks for the advice, haven't ran today ut went to a pilates class, going to try a run in the morning but will take it easy- feeling shattered. A half in Nov too- I wish I could motivate myself that much-have a 10k planned for New Years eve- hoping even if end up taking 2 weeks off after marathon 8 weeks should be enough training time for an ok time.
Evab I hope you get better soon
Blakey- I agree with the others, listen to your body and rest if its needed. You need to click go advanced instead of quick post to add smiles etc
Idiophreak so impressed
Saz- Huge congratulations, so exciting enjoy every min of it :j(Family of 5: 2 adults & 3 children aged 7yrs, 4yrs, and 18months)0 -
I love Pilates tq but no time to fit in at the mo, after the marathon I'll have to look at a class.
Feeling better this evening so back to horrible work tomorrow, it's not really horrible but I'd rather be at home with the kids. Is it too early for me to retire?0 -

I am back to feeling  about my running as my friend & I have today signed up to do a 1/2 in March - what were we thinking??!!! lolFollowing :money: to keep us debt free :j0 -
Lol i'll tell you what i'll compile the epic 5 part Berlin 2008 marathon report for you when i get home from work tomorrow. Now that one is long.
As for remembering things dunno really always been good at it. It helps for local races in that i know the area etc. Not running related but i can go back to places i've only ever been to once before and usually remember where to go. Had this up in Inverness, i knew where i was going apart from heading home on sunday night as where i parked we got a tai back last year and went some new way. Did actually do it without the sat nav being on too but then i did cheat and aimed east knowing i'd hit a road i knewDebt free Nerd number 1122 LBM Jan 2009 Debt @ LBM £40,086.88 (14/01/09)

Evening all,
Simply - getting close now, how are you feeling?
I am back to feeling  about my running as my friend & I have today signed up to do a 1/2 in March - what were we thinking??!!! lol
I was feeling quite good after Sunday's run Hannah (I won't call it a race because I ran it at my usual 10:something/mile pace) but I seem to be getting slower the more I taper! I'm not sure how that works!! Still I have faith in my training schedule and I'm sure that it'll be fine on the day (she says with crossed fingers, legs and anything else crossable!).
As for the half you've signed up for - it looks like you've definitely caught the running bug :rotfl: Which half will you be racing?2021 MFW No.18 £9900/£10,000Mortgage at 21.07.20 £178,999 Mortgage today £150,8910 -
Alias I have the garmin 405 and love it. dont buy into all that carp about how bad it is as a lot of that is people that didnt bother to read the basic instructions for it. Your friend is the lock bezel command!
On a personal running note my long run was 'orrible yesterday but it still managed to be a full minute faster than 3 weeks ago.
For socks I use hilly. You would think looking at them that your feet would over heat but they dont. I started out using regular cotton socks and Im so glad I changed to 'running socks' course they arent cheap:staradmin5k - 00:27:46:staradmin 10k - 00:57.03:staradminHalf - 02:01:15:staradmin5M - 00:44:07:staradmin0 -
Does anyone know the web link for the Athens 10K? We've been invited to stay with friends, so could do it! All my web searches come up with tour companies doing packages. Thank you!0
