yup, blister free......I have been making excuses for long enough, and finally my children were fed up with me pretending that I would get round to it one day, so when I came home from work and said "I might go for a run" both of them just said "go on then".......so I didn't really feel as though the excuses would work any more :o

I didn't stop to walk, and I deliberately didn't check the time when I left or take a watch with me, because I don't want to get involved in mins/mile again just yet. I just want to get myself fit again, and lose a bit of the excess weight that has accumulated since London.....

    It's a start.......:T

    Woooohoooo :j:j:j

(I've missed you - tried to keep up with your diary but fail miserably every time - its so much better when you're on here :D)

Thanks becky - just need to get myself back into the routine of things and stop making pathetic excuses........

I've deliberately kept away from the running thread, so don't know everyone's progress etc, so hope everyone is ok and no doubt I will catch up in due course....

    Week 5/27 (NDVM)
    Mon 23/11 Rest Day

Evening everyone - just popped in for a catch up. I did my hilly 6 miles on Sunday morning which was quite tough as I was out drinking and dancing until late Saturday evening (won't be doing that again in a hurry). I knew my Garmin was playing up on the way round but it had definitely registered 6.21 miles when I stopped and I was gone for around an hour. I've just downloaded the data and it says that I ran a miraculous 27.12 miles in 03:39:49 (08:06/mile) - how about that for progress then?? :rotfl: :rotfl:

Well done on the run Rich - very eventful.

kms - hope your knee is recovering.

Hi Hypno - nice to see you again.

Uk - stop misbehaving - you know it is wrong to put temptation in my way. :p;)

  • You really shouldnt be running another marathon again so soon after the last one, Simply!;)

Or maybe your Garmin can see into the future, perhaps?:p

  • Weekend was great thanks Becky - didn't count on my OH's mum wanting to go out drinking/dancing though; I thought we were in for a night in front of the telly. :rotfl:

I've just looked at the splits on my Garmin and it would appear that my OH is the culprit for the dodgy reading. I put my Garmin in his laptop bag for safekeeping and he must have been slightly less than careful loading it in the car and somehow hit the Start button. Never mind I can identify the splits for the first 6 miles - 00:59:36 (09:56/mile) - not bad for windy, hilly and hungover. :p

  • Morning all, hello and well done Hypno :T

This morning - 3 miles, 30:23, 4 yards of toilet roll, 18 nose blows, a few gurgly coughs.. ugh! Feel better now though!

(please note that the yards of toilet roll and nose blowing figures are an estimate :rotfl:)
