Although he's doing a good job of explaining the purpose of different sessions he did get a bit too involved with the definition of what constitutes 'Speedwork'. He is neither right nor wrong, his own interpretation is very rigid but speedwork is whatever you want it to be........we used to call it 'quality work' and I would certainly make the definition looser than what he is stating. But, as was said, what difference does it make?
I agree but it is nice to see someone having a debate about it at least and knowing enough to do so0 -
Total miles for last week 40.4
Mon - 1 m wu/wd 8:13, 7:50, 7:45 - total 5 miles
Was clearly not at my best today - as evidenced by the snot factory that is my nose, but still was determined to go through the session and as I havent done any speed stuff for 2 weeks and in the end the last rep was only 15 seconds off the usual so cant be too bad for me

yup, blister free......I have been making excuses for long enough, and finally my children were fed up with me pretending that I would get round to it one day, so when I came home from work and said "I might go for a run" both of them just said "go on then".......so I didn't really feel as though the excuses would work any more
I didn't stop to walk, and I deliberately didn't check the time when I left or take a watch with me, because I don't want to get involved in mins/mile again just yet. I just want to get myself fit again, and lose a bit of the excess weight that has accumulated since London.....
It's a start.......:TSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
