Hi everyone, been AWOL for a few days-very busy. Was going to post before work this morning but didn't know how to start the thread, or even if I could.

Hugs Bargainbird, its such awful news. I've read in the wharfedale(presuming that its about your BIL)that the culprit will be charged with assault-I hope that'll be increased to something more severe though of course that won't help him or your family.

I've done nothing OS today and have had some very sad news. My friend's DS-4 years has died. It sounds awful but I'm dreading her ringing as she won't realise that I know. I don't know what I shall say. He was such a lovely little boy and I can't imagine how devastated she must be. He was a friend of my DD and I think I'm going to wait until the weekend to tell her and warn her teacher on monday.
    Sorry for the depressing post.

    Curlytop - thats awful.

Bargainbird - it seems so unfair that he should be free to walk round!

Just back from OH having his eyes tested - Opticians say he is to have a cholesterol test as he has a white ring around his eye:eek:. Luckily he was at the Docs earlier today for blood tests, including cholesterol, so we shall see what the results say. He needs new reading glasses and is heading towards full -time wearing but is resisting the inevitable! He didn't pick any glasses there tonight as he wants to shop around for deals - this MSE must be rubbing off on him finally!
