  • My fiance and I are not really having a honeymoon either, we're doing a destination wedding June 2010 and will just stay in Croatia for several days after the wedding. Has anyone been to Hvar or have recommendations on where to go in Croatia, cost-efficiently?

I should find out exactly where his apartments are. My Dad offered to pay for flights for us and we don't need to pay board as my Uncle wouldn't charge us for an apartment, but although I'd love to go, I don't know about going for a honeymoon??

How did you find the language barrier? Is it expensive when you're there??

No language barrier - locals are friendly warm and really grateful for you beig there and it was pretty cheap - when i was last there in 2002 it was 20p for a bottle of beer from the shop!

My friend went there this summer and said its still cheper than spain greece turkey and the likes.

It really is gorgeous.. would be a perfect destination for ahoneymoon becaseu its so pretty and picturesque on the coast. Go shellsuit!

I'll ask my Dad to get in touch with his brother (not the one out there, but his twin, not dads twin, the one who is out there twin, if that makes sense :rotfl:) as he went last month with my Aunty and said they had a fantastic time.

Have to find out what the area is.......I've just been googling at the various resorts and nothing is jumping out at me, so i've obviously forgotten it, doh! x
