Where do I stand - damage caused by candle?

I was attracted to a stall selling these candles at a recent Xmas fair i went to. I very nearly bought them as gifts for friends ! They look and smell lovely, i'm so glad i didn't now, all my friends have children.0

Candles in tins (in general - not just this brand) are death traps. I personally will never buy one again after what happened to me! I had one (not Lily Flame) burning in my bedroom one day and the wax caught fire - as mentioned above it was like a mini fireball in the tin. I (perhaps stupidly) put it out by throwing water on it and the flames shot up about three feet in the air  Suffice it to say that it was a good job I had not been leaning over the tin or that the candle had not been directly underneath my curtains. I really think that the more 'enclosed' area that a tin creates really enables the temperature to rise and a fire to start in the tin much more easily. I'll be sticking with traditional candles in future! I wouldn't have thought any of us have a leg to stand on though - just need to chalk it up to experience.0

Candle lite = HEAT
this will heat the THIN metal tin which WILL mark the surface its on and then self combust0 -
