One year we did a play showing Christmas customs from around the world, and I had to have a wreath on my head with candles on it and the damn things were lit! It was terrifying! Don't think they'd let kids have 10 lit candles on their head nowadays!Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

I'd hope they don't Dinah!!
Thinking of starting a new thread for savings? Seeing how it's the 1st of Dec I thought it would be a good starting date with the rest of this years goals.. Paid the last £50 off my CC too so I'm (yet again) debt free. :rolleyes:0 -
Have you finished that 3 week challenge now? When is your next savings target for? Just to the year end or to easter or something?Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Bit off topic now, but: our trees were actual trees - elm and oak I think - not christmas trees, and the blonde girls were the angels, Kimberley was Mary with black hair?
And yes, remind me where we are with your finances Cinny, you change your mind that much!Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
The 3 weeks is up on Friday, Dinah and I *kind of* managed it. And one savings target is for the year end, and the other (the ISA) is for Easter time.
Not much to say finances wise! Paid off the CC from the splurge already which is good, managed to save £70 cash along side my 3 week challenge - which is my spends for the holidayWoo! - Ermm, hoping to put £65 into savings this week too. That's about it!

Kind of = the spends on the credit card. But it's all paid off now, which doesn't make it sound too bad!0

Just worked it out and this'll mean I only have to put away £31 a week to meet my target. That's nice! :T
Kind of torn on the diary though, on one hand I like it because it keeps me focused on things but then it doesn't seem to fair to have a savings diary on a debt board.. but then if I'm saving like this to stop me getting back into debt in future.. that's not so bad right?0 -

The year before I was in the Nativity Mary had dark hair, but the 2 years I was 'eligible' Mary was blonde! And one year the girl sniffed through the whole thing! We didn’t do it like an actual play, more like a moving picture IYKWIM. The older kids read out bits of the story and the people they were talking about entered whilst a carol was sung then they took their place on stage and stayed still for the duration. Joseph and Mary were out first obviously so they had to stay still longest so to sit and sniff through it was a travesty! I was last out since we Kings took forever to get there so I got on stage and left pretty much straight away! We didn’t have enough kids to be trees and sheep etc, if we had any spare kids we just had an extra shepherd or angel!
I remember doing a Christmas around the world themed play one year and I got to dress up in Spanish costume and hit a piñata (well, a bit of card shaped like a donkey with sweets stuck on! Budget props!)… I made sure I picked up the sweets I’d knocked off before getting off stage!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0
