This is my advent calendar, my Mum gave it to me last night! Isn't it be-yoo-tiful? In typical Mum fashion though she bought some things that were too big for the window holes so she had to make a little red felt bag with presents labelled up with the corresponding days! Hehe, she's so silly! I got a big Quality Street green triangle today!
That is really cool Birdie!
I only ever bought an advent calender once. It was a Cadbury's one and one night myself and OH went out and got quite drunk (around the 9th Dec).We came back and there was nothing to eat in the flat so we demolished the advent calendar. It was the nicest chocolate I have ever tasted!Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

Blimey, puts my Disney Princess one to shame! How sweet is your Mum?
Bopping along to Mariah Carey on the radio atm. Oooo, It's Christmas soon!
Keep on checking my MAC parcel like a crazed lady today - It's gone from dispatched to 'out for delivery' now. I'll give it an hour then start pestering my sister..0 -

I remember playing Little Donkey on the chime bars at primary school, it was my second favourite carol, my favourite was 'Rise up Shepherd and Follow'! Love that one! My brother and his friends changed it to 'I shall eat a marshmallow' and it made me giggle every Christmas!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0

Yeah thanks for that! I've been sitting here humming that tune all morning, people are looking at me funny now.0 -
Sorry Swinstie, I have it in my head a bit too, mixed with a bit of Mariah thanks to Cinny!
Wow to the advent house thing Birdie! Is it quite robust, something you'll be able to pass on to your kids? And quality streets - how posh are you?!
Went for the Hello Kitty one for OH but they only had Ben 10 left, and he desn't like himWeightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
OH has a Ben 10 advent calendar, he loves him! He gets up early on Saturday mornings to watch it, bless him! He had a bit of a face on last night when he saw my calendar, he was asking where his one was! I think he'll be stealing a lot of the treats from it!
The house is pretty robust, it's made of wood so it should last. I was just saying to OH at the weekend that I'm looking forward to having kids so we can start our own Christmas traditions and now I've got the advent house to pass on! It's so pretty I was dying to play last night and kept having to stop myself from opening the windows!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -
I thought it looked like wood or something - it's lovely! I can see how Ben 10 doesn't measure up!Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0
