hi guys,
I've been laid up with flu and tonsilitis for the last 2 weeks, but in a way its a brilliant thing!!!!!
I have standing orders set up that every 4 weeks on the monday following payday (4 weekly on fridays) i pay £250 to my ISA and £50 to a Just In Case account, this is for all those annoying bits like car services & trips to the dentist. But it means 1/4 of a my wage goes into savings as soon as i get paid. I set it up with those figures coz thats usually all i can afford.
With being so ill this month i didn't even leave the house for 10 days, i survived on tins of soup that had been lingering in the back of the cupboards lol, i haven't spent as much as i thought. I still had £400 left!!!!
so my £300 savings for this month has technically come out of last months wage, and i saved an extra £93.52 to my ISA and £8.51 in my JIC account.
Thats an extra £402.03!!!:eek::eek: How do i normally spend that much in 2 weeks???????????
Anyway, i'm gonna class the £300 as extra for this month, because i NEVER have that much left at the end of the month, and it's technically gone through my savings as if i'd been paid an extra months wage
Not gonna count the other £102.03 coz i had extra unplanned expenditure like prescriptions (£30), buckets of beechams hot berry fruits (£20) and miscellaneous flu remedies (£20). So it almost cancels out.
So adding £300 to my siggy!Still can't believe i saved over £700 in a single month :T

I have managed to make some more savings this month. I saved £5 with my Mr T voucher, found 26p on the floor. I also made 15% saving Bandq last weekend on an item costing £259 and sent back a shower kit costing £529 and bought one for £329!! Not sure if that costs as money made but it certainly feels like it.business mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527

My MSE ways are clearly rubbing off on my partner - he called up our car insurers on their renewal quote (it was the cheapest by far) and managed to make a few amends and got another £120 off! This is the man who has no idea what his money is going on, and was about to pay for a friend who has not driven his car for 9 months to be a named driver!
Not going to count it, but very impressed with him anyway.Mortgage [STRIKE]16/03/2011: £190K 01/01/2017: £107,729.65 [/STRIKE] 01/07/2017: £95,979.89
