  • Just had a sunny week in Spain. You lucky people that live there, came back to lots of rain. DD(12)had more message on ansaphone than me:confused:. Thought I'd share a pic of her in her quick raid the dressing up box costume (she has eyeballs on sticks on the plate - grapes dipped in white choc, with buttons and red colouring).

Need to update my totals - when do you want me to do it - and shall I put it in red.

 Just logged in and up popped a scary face !! Phew - thought I was looking in the mirror instead of the computer screen.

See I have a bit of catching up to do so I think a cup of coffee might be needed - off to put kettle on - but I`ll be back once my heart rate has settled.;)

Back again and fully recovered. :D

Maytaurus – lots of lovely links again – thanks for giving me something soooo much more interesting to do than h *******k . Hope you are feeling a bit better today.
Donny-gal, Ma Belarch -welcome to the madhouse. Well, only mad sometimes, on the days with a Y in them.
Orkneystar – re ` there was some wool there and needles but RESISTED!` How did you manage to do that ? I always want to rescue things like that, wish I had your willpower.
Salome – How lovely to think that your DD`s blankets will cheer up someone`s Christmas day. None of my DD`s have the creative urge at all.
F1widow – cards were lovely, but didn`t sell. This is the reason I was a bit disappointed with the sale. We had so many lovely things donated but people just weren`t parting with their cash. The stuff I have left will go to the next LH sale in Stonehaven later this month. It`s at a special needs school and I find school sales are usually well supported so fingers crossed.
Kathy – hope DH`s finger is on the mend. They always want to keep doing things which aggravate the sore bits and then wonder why they don`t heal quickly.
ISOM & POL – ((((hugs))) for the sad times, and to anyone else I`ve forgotten who needs them .

Sun is out here today, what a change after all the rain we had Sat night and all day /night Sunday. Lots of the roads round about here were flooded and the trains weren`t running, so son in law couldn`t get back down to Glasgow last night. He`s in the Navy so hope he`s not put on a charge for not being there this morning. He did phone his boss to explain that there were no trains and that no alternative transport was being provided because the road conditions out of the city were so horrendous, so hopefully it will be OK.
DS is away to Belfast for 10 days with some of his mates so DD & I might have a long weekend away when she has time off from work at the end of the month ;) Some retail therapy might be in order.

Off to hang out the washing, nice and blowy so should get it dry.

    Update this week
    2 scarves
    3 poppies

ISOM. I collected my boy from Cardiff yesterday :-) He's here till tomorrow, when we shall bring him back. Must admit, didn't here any anguished yells while we were there lol. Hope you get the blanket sorted. I find if I go and do another project, then come back to the one that's being a pain, it tends to work out better :-)
I meant to say on an earlier post about the sewing together etc. I enjoy putting a garment or project together. I like to see it taking shape, from being separate pieces, to being an actual 'thing' :-)

I thought a tent for DS and his toys were a better use of the money. We don't have a huge income just now with me a SAHM, so I have to resist sometimes! I did get all that wool from Lidl and spent £3.20 today sending parcels so knitting costs have been adding up! I do feel good now that I have managed to post something away though.....:).

    afternoon all,:hello:
I have been very good and done some ironing, can you see my halo ;) still got loads to though, why is it the washing never seems as much as the ironing IYSWIM

Chalky - yes DGS is growing so fast and chattering away, dont understand much of what he say's though but that will come, we probably wont be able to stop him in a few months time ;):rotfl:
Kathy - hope OH's finger is a bit better today after a rest from the DIY, is'nt it nice not to have to "come and hold this" or asked "where have YOU put this or that"
Pol - I am so sorry to hear of the death of your friend, I know just how you must be feeling as my friend of over 40 years died recently, and I still wait for her coming and miss her dreadfully. I hope your Mum is feeling a bit better today, its awful when parents are ill is'nt it?
Craftlady - what beautiful hair your daughter has.
    May - Lovely post's again x

Managed to finish another couple of Poppies, a square and Pudsey off last night, so I have a space in my UFO bag now, will have another dabble and see if I can finish something else off later. A scarf or sailors hat both started ages ago.

Still undecided whether to send parcel's off to L/H and Shelley with the post being a bit iffy.

Off for an hour on the sofa with my knitting before getting dinner sorted, I feel as though I have a cold starting, keep sneezing and shivering.

Right thats it....glass of brandy (cant take whisky got drunk on it once and have'nt touched it since):o

Hi all - sorry, I've been MIA for most of the day. I suddenly went down with a rotten cold and have spent all afternoon under a blanket on the sofa. I think I've sat in the hospital waiting room too often lately!

I was going to post the update today, but hope you don't mind if I do it tomorrow.

Will call back later and catch up with all the posts.
