Been away for a few days and just spent the last hour catching up.

May, I’m so sorry to hear about your little dog, Cosmo. I know how hard it can be, but at least he had a good life with you. (((hugs)))
ISOM, that quilt is lovely. What a lot of work has gone into it, your Mum will love it.
Welcome, Mrs Twins . I’m not sure what I’m doing half the time, but everyone on here is so lovely I decided to stay!
Kinsey, hope your back is better by now.
F1, big hugs to you, hoping your black cloud lifts very soon. ((hugs))
Shaz, lol at “it was a colour I didn’t have”. You sound like me!
LC Wilson, sorry to hear you’ve had sad news again. Hope the rest of the year turns out to be better for you. Sending prayers for you.
Shezmit, do you want squares sewing up? Happy to do them for you.

Managed to send my squares off to LH for Do before I went, so at least that's something. I'll update next week when I've sorted out my totals.

Sending love and hugs to all feeling low or poorly, and thinking of MIA's, hope to see you all back soon.
    love

    Hello to everyone
Just arrived home after a morning jaunt -- well it has to be done sometimes and I am looking at the puppy parts but they are not winking at me so no completion there today methinks.

Has anyone else heard about the issue with stuffing materials and charity knitting --- toys in the main I think. Am having a go at the puppets at the moment and will post a picture soon but knitting is very slow after hooking!!!

    This week's update:

    3 Buntings
    2 Chalky squares

    Sig is correct.

Not much done this week as I just haven't felt up to it.

Thanks to everyone for the good wishes. I know Eileen wasn't a very close realtive as such but I had known her for 50 years. I can still remember how kind she and her twin sister were to me when my dad died when I was 14. At least she is reunited with her twin now, she died 18 years ago and I know how much Eileen missed her. Still waiting for a date for the funeral. Don't know if there will be an autopsy as she died in hospital, but they still haven't said what she died of - she had heart trouble for a long time though so perhaps that.

    May: Hope you're alright?
ISOM: Lovely colours for your quilt. I don't have the patience for that sort of thing, but I wish I did. My sister still has a couple of quilts kicking around which my grandma made nearly 100 years ago and they still look like new.
Chalky: Shame on you - those poor little puppies need bringing to life!
Blackcrow: Well done with the knitting, there will be no stopping you now :)
Shaz: You really are well shot of him. And you don't need him for days out etc - you're much more likely to find someone better without him in tow :D

Hope everyone else is doing well.

Re; ‘amazes me how someone who i thought was the one, turned out to be so wrong.‘

Blessing for you that you found out before it was too late hun

I love all the suggestions from all our lovely peeps on here!

One of my printable) thoughts on ‘him’ is that ‘he’ obviously sees you as vulnerable & thinks he can manipulate you.
Re; the phone call about s** ... that would probably be his ideal ... having you there at his convenience ... grrrrrrr

You could leave a message on your answer service saying
‘Hi. I'm probably home; I'm just avoiding someone I don't like. Leave me a message, and if I don't call back, it's you.’

If you really NEED to text him you could say ...
‘I can no longer meet your needs.
.. I have finished my unfinished business with you ... I want nourishment NOT punishment! ... goodbye!’ ...

and then either ignore him completely ... including not reading / answering calls or texts, or if you don’t think you can manage that ...
    change your number!!

Hope the sun is shining thru your ‘black clouds’ today

    A couple of my song suggestions besides ! ...’HIT THE ROAD JACK’ are;

    Good morning.

Just a quickie to let you know that I'm still around and ok. I have barely knitted or crocheted anything in the last week as all my energy has been going on this course and keeping the house ticking over. I shall endeavour to read up on the last week later.

Massive hugs & love to all of you though.
