Hi everyone, just popped in to wish you all a Happy (Chinese) New Year.

Maytaurus - Nice to hear you have a doctor who is trying to get you sorted. I can`t see the pics on your post either, just little red crosses which are making me cross  as they are probably lovely as usual. Oh well, I`ll just have to use my imagination, if I haven`t thrown it out.
Had a bit of a clear out, yes I`ve finally started, and took lots of junk to the skip this morning. Hope the momentum keeps going.

Chalky - you`ll probably be able to adapt the JG pattern to make Iggle Piggle, the blue one with his red blankie, doesn`t look too difficult, specially for a woman of your talents ;)

Shezmit - _pale_ to bungee jumping.

Jean - smashing blanket pattern. Get your `thinking head` on and get cracking. You`ll provide dozens of babbies with cosy blankets in no time at all once you`ve sussed it.

Pam - If you are lurking, hope you are doing OK ? I`m thinking about you.

    UPDATE

    6 Chalky squares
    2 prem baby hats

Righto, I`m off to get settled with the wool and needles and Dancing on Ice.

Have a good evening and (((hugs )))to anyone who needs them.

    Good evening :D

May Glad you got on ok at the hospital hope that the doc keeps it up in sorting things out for you. You'll be pleased to know that I shunned my book this afternoon and crocheted my heart out :rotfl::rotfl: I was a disgrace I know!

Hope that everyone has had a good weekend? My Mum came down at 10.30am and went back again at 2pm which I think was great for her. She suddenly went really tired after lunch so we phoned Dad before the rugby started to come & get her :)

Had a lovely day here as I managed to have a lie in until 10am while DH sorted stuff out. I made the Sunday lunch and have watched films with DH and crocheted this afternoon :T

I hope that we never have to keep on topic as it were here as the love & support & chatting is what makes this thread so special. You are all wonderful :A

Pam Hope that you're ok? I've been thinking about you too xxx

A pleasant evening is wished to all and I shall 'see' you tomorrow

Jean - O that pattern's lovely and the colour's are really pretty. Thanks for the links, I have decided to do the coats and co one. It looks nice and chunky just love the different stitches as well, will probably use the same colours too as they are my kind of colours. It will probably take me forever but I can see I will enjoy doing it.:)
Shelley - what again :eek:you're a glutton for punishment, but I think you're very brave, it would have me quaking in my shoes
May - glad the hospital appt went well, its about time they started listening to you, perhaps now things will start improving for you.
SunnyGirl - sounds like you've had a lovely day:)

I agree with all of you about the friendliness on this site, its a place for a chat, a bit of banter, a helping hand, a (((hug))) a rant, some friendly advice and a great place for all things under the banner of handi-craft's, knitting, crochet, sewing, and above all Charity which bought us all together in the first place way back in 2008.:AThanks to Kathy :T
I just can't imagine not being able to come in here for a chat or just a read through if I am feeling a bit down, you lot soon perk me up again ;):rotfl:So thanks to you all for making this such a nice place to come into, to get my head straight again:)

Better go I have a scarf to finish for MIL, in Fizz it looks lovely when finished all ribbony and feathery, she has been asking me for ages so I thought I'd better buckle down and get it done.

DS1 has'nt arrived yet but he is on his way.

I did a load of flowers the other day they were so easy, forget who but it was on here ages ago, It's just cast on 40 sts and cast off 6sts at a time, very effective.

Now I really must go, been watching dancing on ice while doing this so it's taken me ages;)

Well all is well here even though the weather is absolutely pants!!!!!!! So serves me right for inviting you all for coffee when the blue skies and sun were with us !!

We were supposed to be doing the pilgrimage up into the mountains --- me to sit on the verandah and hookey and DH , DS and DDIL go and do the exciting bits but I am afraid -- no chance !!

Well I shall only ever have 1DIL ( only 1 son and hope he stays with this one) And I would not swap her for the world. She looked at the weather said " Oh well never mind shall we raid the wool stash and get to know Babette"

So even if the week turns out very differentle than we planned all will be well -- I hope

As for this thread bein closed down cos we dont keep on topic ---- Never--- We shall fight on the beaches etc etc and anyway on topic thanks for links to knitting patterns re , the Night Garden

See you in the morning Sleep tight and love to all

Chalky your DIL sounds great, neither of mine is interested in any type of handicraft.

    Shez, another bungee !!!

SunnyGirl good to hear your Mum's improving.

Jean that sample looked so pretty, it'll be worth it in the end.

    Update
    1 cardi
    2 chalky squares
    2 buntings
    1 gown and bonnet

Lots of love, and if they try to close us down we'll just have to invent a forum of our own, as a necessity to the health and sanity of the nation. xxxx

    Good morning!

Up at the usual time with DS2 as he has a study day at school. He's looking forward to it as he takes his gcse's this summer. The others are still asleep so its nice & peaceful.

Lorna Gosh you have been busy! Your totals put me to shame. Well done.

Chalky So glad the your DIL is looking forward to sharing the wooly hobby! My Dad has always made me laugh with his sayings and one of his faves is 'Improvise, Overcome & Adapt' biggrin.gif Seems very apt for your plans at the moment!

Pippa S What are the flowers for? They sound brilliant. Have you got a link to them please smile.gif

Well pancake cooking & cleaning are beckoning so I must go and make a start - the sooner I get done the sooner I can sit down with the wool!

With love & HSz4ab4df5baf1fapurple.gif to all of you.

    Morning

Early today, makes a change ;)

I finished MIL's scarf last night, and today I must finish the baby cardi for Mums friend's new DGD.

SunnyGirl - I'll have a look through and see if I still have the link, can't remember if I kept it, anyway if not I will PM you the pattern (not sure if we can put the patterns on here or just the links)??? I am doing them for on the plain chalky squares to jazz em up a bit :D

chalky - how nice to have a DIL who shares your hobby. Shame you could'nt go on your pilgrimage....how many Babettes did you get done??? ;)

May - that dog always makes me :rotfl:and Dumbo is sooo cute I want to watch the film again now, will have to wait until DGD's come up so I have an excuse to sit all afternoon and watch a childrens film ;)

DS1 arrived late last night and was on his way at 7:45 this morning...hence me being on here so early.

We called in to Lidl on Saturday to see if they had any wool and stuff left, but they had sold out of all hooks, needles, stitch holders and most of the wool except for a couple of balls of the random orange and I did'nt fancy that. Never mind I have a bit of stash to work with ;):rotfl:

Off to look for the flower pattern link for you now SunnyGirl, back in a bit.
