    Ooooh I say.......................!!!!
Thought I was on the wrong thread there
I got a lovely tortoise/turtle toy in the box of stuff from Lou (LH) for the sale (the one which didn`t happen) not sure who knitted it but can ask on the forum, it`s really cute.

Finished a boob and almost finished a scarf to go with wee lad`s hat, if he ever wears it it will be a miracle - he hates hats

Kettle is boiling to fill hottie as my feet are frozen, so off to bed soon. Night night all - see you tomorrow.

Kinsey, these are fantastic, I hadn't heard of these before so I have spent a great deal of today 'googling'!! Unfortunately as yet I have been unable to find a knitting pattern for the geisha's, I found one but it was not as cute as yours.

I still haven't got back into the charity knitting but I have managed to knit a few hedgehogs as presents.

Happy knitting & crocheting to everyone. x

    Pam, have been knitting this
    http://www.yarnballboogie.com/?p=133
from the selection you posted the other day :A and I'm having a bit of trouble. I don't understand his decreases (and unwilling to experiment at this point in the process :o) so have replaced them with guess what - k2tog. I don't know what I did wrong but the decreases do not seem to equal the number of stitches . Wondered if you might have a quick look at the pattern if you get a chance as I know your brain does the workings out whereas mine is never quite sure where we've gone wrong .
Hat looks really neat because I'm using circulars - very pleased so far. I intend to finish it (if I can sort the decreases with a little help from my friends :D) using 2 circulars rather than dpns. I tried this with a much smaller hat the other day and it worked beautifully. If anyone is interested in this technique, apart from the udder fixation (you'll see....) I found this link very easy to follow and the technique really simple.

Good morning everyone. Hope you are all keeping well.

Kinsey - thanks for the pattern link - there are lots of other freebie patterns on there, too. I've bookmarked the site.

K2tog - thanks for the YouTube link for circular needle knitting - it looks really easy to follow.

Well, today I have some online work to do that I should have done earlier this week. Then I need to go shopping for some slippers before it gets too cold! My old slippers from the UK are getting a bit thin underneath and I can't bear cold feet.

I did a bit more to DHS's lapghan last night but I kept dozing off; I seem to be extra tired lately and, as soon as I sit down on the sofa, I just zonk out.

Anyway, a short one from me (for a change!) as I'm off to have a shower.

    See you all later.

Hi Maytaurus - posts crossed! Hope you have a good day today!

The pattern links are great, thanks, (but I couldn't get the curly scarf one to load - it just came up with a blank PDF for some reason). I love the hoodie cardigan, especially.

I also liked the cat rescue link. Here is the local charity here for stray cats http://www.stodel.org/Les_Pattes_de_Velours/Welcome.html. I'm so glad these charities exist. I heard the other day that abandoning a pet cat is treated as a serious crime here, with a €2000 fine - friends of ours had a neighbour who moved house and left the cat behind. Luckily for the cat, our friends took her on, but it's a horrid thing to do, isn't it?
