I've trained myself to ignore the dust now - there's so much here with all the work going on in the house that I can't really keep up with it, and it does make the cobwebs look so pretty!

That's been my theory for quite some time!

ISOM re; whiskery thing with four legs, if it's even a possiblity grab it with both hands and cuddle to your (it's) hearts content, life's too short and like you said a turtle just doesn't cut it.
Your mum must love you very much!

Heldun - please don't worry about how many items you make; each one counts will help someone in need.

ISOM - forgot to mention the offer you've had of a whiskery creature! Sounds to me as if it's meant to be, so, as Kinsey says, grab him or her as soon as you can. Having not had a cat for a few years, now that we've got Louis, I had forgotten just how good it feels to have a cat about the home.

ISOM - I've been experimenting with patterns that I've downloaded from Maytaurus's links, I'm trying to do a different one each time. I've also bought a pattern.

Am I right in thinking that you are a novice at knitting? If so then there is a very easy pattern that I've downloaded. I'll check which one it is and get back to you later on.

    Later on

This one is very easy and quick. The hat pattern is also easy.

We are cat free for the first time in over 30 years. It has taken a lot of getting used to but it's nice to be able to go away without thinking about the cat (or cats as was so often the case). I still think that I can see one out of the corner of my eye in all the usual places - back of the sofa, on the stairs to trip you up, on the bed, scalding itself in front of the gas fire, eyeing up the Sunday lunch etc etc.

Just a quick shout for now.

Pippa S - your parcel came this morning. Thank you very much, the things are smashing, love the fluffy topped stockings.

Had DS at the dentist finally, and he took a `funny turn` while he was there  They had to give him oxygen and get one of the doctors from along the corridor to check him out. He`s always had a phobia about needles and faints away at the merest suggestion of one - obviously didn`t shut his eyes quick enough today  My lot certainly belive in keeping me on my toes !!!!

Lunch break calling - time for a sandwich, coffee and some small type knitting.

    Have a good day everyone.

I keep thinking its Friday and here it is only half past Thursday, what is wrong with me?
My VET told me about the scarey caterpillars seems he had to treat a dog who had gotten close to them and end up with half their face missing. Realy frightening stuff, I only made the knitted one. Hope your all fine and dandy today, off to see if I can whip up another doggie blanket on the machine back soon I hope

Got some crochet hooks at the Tenovus on Clifton Street.
The George Thomas has loads of knitting needles, double ended pins and cable needles but couldn't find any crochet hooks.
Have fun in Penarth - nice day for it. Maybe good enough for a turn along the pier?
Applause to your Mum - she obviously knows you very well!
