Morning all,
How is everyone ?
I have not posted for a coupld of days, not done any charity knitting, but have been finishing first Christmas present (the neck tie for mum). I plan to post my IS hates today, only 4, but its something. Still not done much more crib as a bit dejected with it, but will continue though in a few days, think I might get some preemie caps on the go or perhaps a boob.
Lovely to see all the pictures Chalky, wish I could make something like that.
Oki doki better see what DS has been up to (there was an incident involving something that missed the potty earlier so a bit concerned lol!).

Good Morning everybody--- Its stopped raining !!!!!! Out today with a very good friend so no rippling and hooking today !! It is nice to try something new but the ripple takes more time than the good old "Granny squares"
OrkneyStar-- I am sure you would pick up crochet really easily. If anyone wants inspiration or easy tutorials have a look at Attic24. Lucy is wonderful and her work inspirational. Watch out though -- it can be addictive !!
Shaz --Thanks for your kind comments re the lapacuddlyghans. I am going to wrap up a new book, tuck it in a blanket then wrap the blanket for Christams for the daughters and ddil
Kinsey - Your toys are gorgeous.
Kathy Totals are amazing.

Morning all. I'm still here!!! I've been lurking, but have just been very busy. To cut a long story short, my sister has had eye surgery and has needed some help with the children (10 and 7), getting them to school and stuff, so I have spent a lot of time with them. My mam has been doing this but she is on a well deserved holiday this week. Bless her, she's 76 but thinks she's still a teenager!! But she was exhausted when she went on holiday. So besides working and dance classes my days and nights have been a bit hectic. Not much knitting done, but hopefully next week will be back to normal. Need to get my parcel ready for Loving Hands and finish off some other bits and pieces before the next round of challenges.
katthy, thanks for your concern.

Sounds a bit manic Ann!
Miol one more hat for me but did only finish last night so can add to next weeks totals if its easier?
Seakay where did you get your crochet hooks? Come on fess up!! Will have a look at charity shop by me today...will be near Penarth so may also pop there as they have yummy charity shops.
One piece of potentially good news is that my mum has offered to give me a thing with whiskers and 4 legs and pay the upkeep as bday and Christmas presents....am thinking on this (while resisting the urge to just go get one!!)...also need to discuss with lodger...just miss having a cat so much that its awful...

Good Morning everyone! Here I am Kathy – been lurking! Thanks for our kind thoughts.
What a fantastic update – well done all of you! :T
I haven’t done much charity knitting as such – I have a little cardi almost finished for Shelley and a couple of baby hats. I’ve done a few baby bits and pieces lately but they’ve been for a friends new granddaughter and PamsPal’s great-great niece.
I’m still struggling with the crochet blanket – I’m so bored with it and I have a cabled scarf which is for one of my grandkids C*******s pressies which also seems to be taking forever! That’s why I had my mad splurge and made the triangular scarf for myself last week – that was such fun.
I’ve had a nasty sore throat and the sniffles this week – think I picked it up from Mumso I’ve been a stay at home and I’m now feeling much better so I’ll go visit her later on today.
The thread has been brilliant this last few days, well done with the piccies everyone! Maytaurus – just lurve the dancing cat!
ISOM - I haven’t received the surprise yet – I’m getting as bad as the dog when the postie comes up the street – just soooooo excited. Well done with your knitting group – sounds like a success!
Mioliere and Roamin – the change in the weather has seen an increase ins coming into the house, I don’t mind them but I do wish they wouldn’t make so many cobwebs – yuck! I also wish I could see the cobwebs before visitors arrive:eek:!!!
Off to get a bit of brekkie now!
((HUGS)) to all!
Luv

Morning all,
What fantastic totals:T.
Maytaurus - My fake fungus looks very similar to your piccy:rotfl: and I like you caterpillar better too. Those other ones look awful.
Prfungi - I'm with you on the cobwebs and why is it you can never see them until someone tells you, my excuse is that my ceilings are too high and I can't reach them
Chalky - Your blankets are beautiful, as are your toys Kinsey.
Pippa/ISOM - Love the scarves.
Well I've just started a preemie hat as the blanket for DS is big and I needed to do something small, and I've got to start on the bee I promised my SIL.
Time for a cuppa.
Hugs to you all.x:jWooligans Totals 2010:

Hi all. Just managed to get a sit down on here before getting lunch ready.
Linedancerann - hope things have calmed down for your now. It's been very eventful, hasn't it?
Prfungi - glad we haven't lost you! Hope your cold doesn't hang around too long.
Chalky - I agree with you that rippling takes a little longer. It's such a simple pattern but I find I have to keep checking that I'm counting the stitches correctly - it's easy to make a mistake and, if you do, it really shouts at you, doesn't it? Still, so far, having made a mistake in the very first row and having to unpick it, I'm now very pleased with how it's turning out.
Update on the spider - it lurked out of sight all day yesterday, but was never far from my mind! As luck would have it, as I went to switch off a lamp last night, there it was, sat in the corner looking very creepy. I keep a glass and a piece of card handy for such occasions (not that I would use them!), and DH managed to take it out and give it back its freedom. Even he said it was the biggest one he's found here, so I'm glad it's gone. I don't want to kill spiders if I can help it, but I don't want him sharing my house! Prgfungi - I've trained myself to ignore the dust now - there's so much here with all the work going on in the house that I can't really keep up with it, and it does make the cobwebs look so pretty!
Well, I think my shivering thingey has gone - for the first time in a week, I'm wearing short sleeves and can feel the heat from the sun. It poured with rain for about five minutes this morning, but is lovely now.
ISOM - I'll go and add your hat now. Your parcel to Prfungi may be held up due to the postal strikes going on in the UK now, so hopefully, it's not lost
Well, will call back later.
