Afternoon all...well done on the spreadsheet miol...date says 2009 though so may be an idea to change it for the confused among us! Baby hat went awry and with impatience/feeling poorly stupidly binned it while babysitting...am now 3/4 through a chalky square.
SG thinking of you today...
Keiss you can do individual squares and chalky will make them into blankets when shes back to the uk next in April so make away!! Every one will help! There are other charity bits you can do so have a look through the posts - lots f ideas along the way and new patterns/ideas often posted!
Feling rotton with cold today...it now at the dripping down back of my throat stage so feeling very sorry for myself and sore nose tooSpent all am in bed which is unlike me, drifting in and out of sleep...will carry on gentle kntting this afternoon!

Just got out of bed to view the thread - feeling very bleaugh!!!
Haven't even had the energy to read little own knit but have managed to log on for a few minutes a day to catch up with everyone on here.
Thoughts and hugs to all who are dealing with the daily reality of loved relatives who are no longer with us - it never gets any less painful but eventually the event is far enough away not to be the first thought of the day.
Still distressed at F1's experience which seems to indicate that teaching staff are more concerned with the reputation of the school than the well being of those who are most in need of their care. I wish that I could say that this is the first time that I have been made aware of such a shocking state of affairs but sadly it is not.
Personally I think that this is the long term effect of recent funding policies and the way that league tables look for things to criticise rather than ways to support. Everyone is so terrified of the next inspection and so weighed down with mountains of administration and paperwork that they don't have the time or inclination to address actual problems, they just want them to go away.
I don't know what the answer is F1 but I admire your tenacity and courage.
ISOM - I think that the spreadsheet shows 2009 and 2010, but I haven't quite worked out how to access it so I'm not sure! Hope you're feeling better soon - I'm going back to bed myself!0 -
sorry meant the main heading on spreadsheet...dont mean t criticise as know its alot of work but was confused when it said 09 at the top but is, I think, the 10 spreadsheet iykwim?
Hope you feel better seakay...definate snooze for me later but currently having a cat cuddle! Lodger is going to make me supper later which is nice - odd to have someone looking after me lol!Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1! ISOM - the date on the bloggie (red typing) is what you mean, I thought you meant the actual spread sheet and searched high and low DUMB and DUMBER - that's me!
What a star that new lodger is then. Hugs to all the poorlies, all the lurkers, all those that need a great big squeeze. I have a cuppa and intend catching up with all the latest posts - which I have missed over the last few days - where does the time go?

Hello all - just a quickie to say will be thinking of you sunnygirl xxxx
Thank you all once again for your continued support over DS - the words you say mean so much - and to lift my heart & mind this morning DS said he had had to undertake an exam for the OFSTED inspection today and at the end it said they could say anything - he put "Im fed up with being bullied and picked on" whilst sad to think this Im really chuffed he was not going to lie to suit the school and is fighting (even if only a little) - he also said quite matter of a factly that if they ask him does he like school he will say "sometimes and only sometimes when Im not bullied" - he went off happier today - hair with gel etc (he is only 8!!!) but I always hold my breath for 3.30 - yesterday was not good he said so we shall see today..
seakay & ISOM - hope your feeling better soon and up and about big hugs xxx

Hi all & many, many thanks for the messages of support today :A The funeral was very nice if I can say that. The vicar was lovely even though he didn't know MIL and said some lovely prayers & comforting words. He asked us all to think iof something that Jean (MIL) had done for us, or a special memory, so I thanked her for bringing up a lovely man in my husband & that without her I wouldn't have such a lovely family of my own. Me and her didn't always see eye to eye (both strong willed women
) but I thank her for that and for being a very loving Grandma. My DH managed to stand up and give his eulogy without breaking down although it was very difficult. I am so proud of him. We can remember Jean with love now & be glad that the pain is over for her.
Seakay Massive hugs honey hope you feel better soon xx
F1widow :T:T:T to your DS. I have been reading your posts out to DH as he is a school governor at both a primary & secondary school & is appauled on your behalf. Way to go your son and I so hope that he has had a better day. I well remember the feeling of not knowing how they'd gone on at home time and hoping that they were ok. Big hugs to you both too xx
Kathy Glad that the van/car are now sorted a la Francais. Expensive job though  I keep meaning to say that the dress you bought for Summer is beautiful
Maytaurus Still thinking about you & sending hugs xx
Hugs to anyone else that I've missed. I shall have a relaxing evening with the needles I think as I finished the pom pom scarf last night so want to cast a bonnet on now.
