    Hi everyone.

Pippa - I've just re-read your last post and loved what your DS and DIL said about their little boy - that it feels like he has always been with them. It truly has been a match made in heaven, hasn't it? I hope he has a wonderful birthday; it'll be a fantastic day for his Mum and Dad, too.

Jarus - good to hear from you again. It sounds as if you've been really busy!

Well, after yesterday's running around sorting out the vehicles, I am determined to stay at home today and catch up with things. I will be doing the update later - lots of lovely things to add, so thanks to all of you.

I sat down last night in time to watch Paul Merton in Europe and managed just two rows of crochet - I could hardly keep my eyes open, so we ended up going to bed early. I atcually feel as if I had a good night's sleep for a change. The cough that was keeping me awake (which the doctor diagnosed as a virus) has completely gone now, thankfully. It was wearing me out.

I have to hunt around the recipe forum today. A group of us (8) are getting together on Sunday (at the friends we stayed with at Christmas) for Sunday lunch and I am in charge of the starters, so I have to find something I can make here and transport the one hour's drive to get there. It should be good fun and choosing the wine won't be a problem! We've been invited to stay the night but that will depend on whether DH has work the next day, so we can't decide yet.

We had terrible fog here all day yesterday - it really kept the temperature down, so I'm hoping it's a lot better today. I'm another one who really feels the cold and could do with some of Chalky's sunshine!

Anyway, while it's early here and nice and peaceful, I shall check that I have all the totals ready for posting the update later on this morning.

DH will be working today doing the job he should have done yesterday so that should give me more time to get things done!

Sunny Girl - will be thinking of you today.

(((Hugs))) to all those experiencing sadness or anxiety about loved ones.

    Hi.
I went to a baby shower last night and had great fun :-) My 17yr old daughter knitted a little hat. She did a cable one, and when everyone there saw it, they all clapped her :-)
Haven't done much on my square, but got some done on the baby blanket last night :-)
Everyone have a blessed and prosperous day today. Lot's of hugs to those who need them (((((hugs)))) :-)

hugs to all especially the newbies, the lurkers, the regulars and those MIA or AWOL (i think that covers everyone doesnt it;))

been playing catch up with the ironing and mending over the weekend and yesterday so not much in the way of knitting done. I have done half of my ironing pile and boy was it a big one:eek: hoping to do some more this morning and get it over with. i also tackled the mending pile so DD now has 5 pairs of her jeans back, and DH has his shin protectors re elasticed and his work trousers re hemmed. only got 2 pairs of jeans left on the mending so might do them so i can put the sewing machine back down off the table.

    update for the week

    Morning everyone,

Sunnygirl thinking of you and your family today.((hugs))
Mioliere glad your cough has finally cleared up and you had a good night. What a day you've had with the cars.
F1 thanks for the warming thoughts, it's all fixed now, thankfully, I turned them all up full last night so we should be toasty this afternoon. Hope you have better luck with the governors, I hate the thought of your DS being bullied, my DS1 is very sensitive and I worry all the time now he's in juniors that he'll get picked on.((hugs for you & ds)).
Chalky the weather sounds lovely, makes me warm just thinking of you sitting out in the sun. Hope you had fun gardening.
Hi Jarus nice to see you.

Well I better get on with the h*******k! Boring! would much rather knit but i would feel guilty then.

    Hugs all.xx

Hi everyone and thanks for the kind words about my cough which has now completely gone!

Latest update is now on my blog which you can find by clicking into my name at the left-hand side of this post, then clicking into my 'homepage'.

It's the first update I've done with the spreadsheet without Jean's supervision, so I hope it's OK!

Jean - by the way, I forgot to say that I have seen your latest photos on Wooligans and they are fantastic. Well done!

Hya everyone, lots of hugs :grouphug:to those who are feeling down, :grouphug:what lovely poems have been posted here! My mum died over 5 years ago after being nursed by my dad for four years. She had operation-induced Alzheimers, which was pretty horrendous.

This is just a short visit as I am off out soon.

Just wanted to say that I finished my first diagonal 8" square last night! :j
How many squares are used to make a blanket? Do I have to sign up to any site/group other than the one here?? I have lots of baby wool lying around, as well as a few bonnets waiting to have ribbon/ties attached.

Right off now, will pop back later.

Sorry, Mrs Moneypenny - I'll change that later.

Just a reminder - anything posted after midnight on Sundays will go on the following week's update, so the cut-off date each week will be midnight on Sunday.

Hi Keiss - a couple of pages back, Chalky has posted a photo of a completed blanket so you can count the squares. I'll have a look later - have to rush now!
