OS - Im sorry to hear you feel you want to leave us - Im going to PM you but just wanted to say if there is anything wrong can we help - also its not always what we do, how much or how little I think of it as the togetherness we show on here xx
Just to say a big thank you for your support re:DS - needlesstosay this morning went as expected - DS was asked to explain the problem - told if he didnt say anything how could they help - went onto say that they didnt think that the subject should have worried him that much - and that it was unacceptable not to be at school. Also they had spoken to the boys in question and as it was a long time ago they could not even remember - I pointed out that actually as we had stated they were still taunting him - they have stated to me that the boys have not been punished in any way as there is no need to...... and last but not least they have taunted him again today to which DS has told the teacher and the boys denied it - our next plan of action is being plotted as we speak ......
chalky - those doggies are adorable.
psso - I know what you mean about the squares - they are very addictive and I have been alternating between a square and a vent hat or bunting
Forgive me if I have missed anyone - big hugs to you all especially those who are needing some TLC - Im off to find out who gets Archie's money on Eastenders (oh it was cruel to cut it off at the vital point last night ...) and pick up those needles
Gentle thoughts and big hugs xxxxDebt Diary: Im not going to be an Ostrich anymore -LBM - 16/1/12 /0 -
f1, really sorry to hear that the school wasn't helpful, and that your ds is still getting bullied (((big hugs))) to both of you.

Good Evening everyone,
Thought I would pop in to say Thank You so much for all the support you’ve given me over the last week.
I’ve not done too badly, a bit of a crisis on Tuesday when we were finalising the arrangements and sorting flowers etc. but I have settled a bit now.
The funeral is tomorrow (Saturday), unusual I know but the slot was available and means that people wont have to take time off work if they want to see Mum off. Besides that, the next slot would be middle of next week – a bit too stressful for me I think.
My DS & his partner have been with me all week, they drove down from North Aberdeenshire last Saturday (worried me to death, little sods, but had a very reasonable journey).
I have received a beautiful poem written by one of my older Brother’s stepkids, I would like to share the words with you as the spirit of them is so real and appropriate.
Today and always, may loving memories of Grandma bring you strength, comfort and peace. May the beautiful yesterdays always remain in your heart.
You can shed tears that she is gone
or you can smile because she has lived.
You can close your eyes and pray that she will come back
or you can open your eyes and see all that she has left.
Your heart can be empty because you can't see her
or you can be full of the love that you shared.
You can turn your back on tomorrow and live yesterday
or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday.
You can remember her and only that she is gone
or you can cherish her memory and let it live on.
You can cry and close your mind, be empty and turn your back,
or you can do what she would want:
smile, open your eyes,
love and go on.
..............
What more can I say, Sunnygirl & Pippa - special ((hugs))
F1widow - ((Hugs)) for you and your DS - stay strong & stubborn!
'bye for now
luv

Just filling in time till it`s time to pick up madam, if she`s managed to stay awake this long, she might be sleeping on a sofa somewhere!!
Sorry you feel unable to continue posting Orkneystar - keep up the good work elsewhere.
Chalky, the puppy is lovely and will delight the youngsters I`m sure.
f1widow, hopefully you`ll find a way round this problem.
Pam, good to see you, good luck for tomorrow and keep your chin up.
Not much got done square wise tonight - I fell asleep on the sofa by the fire. Oh well, I must have been needing the rest.
See you tomorrow - gosh it is tomorrow.

Hi everyone.
Pam - that poem is lovely and so moving. I hope everything goes as well as can be expected. Will be thinking of you, and am so glad you have the loving support of family around you.
Jacqui - I am so sorry that the school seems to have taken the same old line about bullying. They may say it's unacceptable for your DS to stay off school - well, I say it's unacceptable for him to be taunted and for the school to dismiss it. They also shouldn't just say that the subject is one he shouldn't be worried about; he is, and that should be enough to warrant action being taken. As others have said on here, perhaps you should involve the governors of the school, and you could also try getting in touch with the local education authority. Good luck and (((hugs))) to your DS.
Chalky - the puppy is gorgeous. Please don't forget to take another photo when they are all finished. Are they all going to be given names?
Well, I did a bit more crochet last night. I'm working on a top and pants for Summer in a variagated pink and white wool; the top has a lacy collar which I will do in white or a really bright pink -haven't made up my mind yet. I shall take wool, hook and needles with me when we visit the UK, but will concentrate on Chalky squares then.
We're out early this morning - DH is having new tyres fitted on his van; they're needed to get it through the MOT here. On Monday, he is having new headlights fitted (the existing ones don't conform to the French rules and regulations), then the re-MOT is on Monday afternoon. The tyreshop is near the shops so we shall leave the van there then have a coffee and do a bit of shopping. Both the eldest grandchildren have birthdays this month (20th and 23rd - great planning by their parents!) so we need to buy presents to take back to the UK with us, along with all the Christmas pressies.
Will catch up with you all later.

Hi,
Just to say thanks for all the PM's- please none of you feel you have done anything- you haven't. It is a long story and tbh it is just not worth going over and over!
Hope to read the thread every so often, those of you who have PM'd me already, you are more than welcome to do again (if you have nothing better to do lol!). Will also no doubt bump into you on Bonnie Babies, or Loving Hands forums.
Take care all of you and thanks for being such a friendly funny bunch!
(psso I have PM'd you back re Aberdeen, everyone else if I have not PM'd you back directly please don't take offense, I was replying to the original ones but there have been quite a few!).

Pam my thoughts are with you and I hope today goes as smoothly as possible. The poem says it all doesn't it?
Chalky the pup is lovely and should appeal to any age group.
