Well we have been for our walk and shake about-- Will tell you about that tomorrow as this is more important!!!
I have decided you can tell your personality through Craft Work!!!!!! As I said earlier I have a couple of diversions to the lapacuddlyghans and thought I had better test the water so that I dont end up in a panic -- only true of puppies/dogs for wedding not name banner!!! But want to get that done ASAP before Jemima gets too old!!
So started the first squares for name flag -- absolutely suits my personality -- 20 stitches. 20 ridges cast off. Quick and easy-- As Gordon Ramsay says done!!!!!
Well then I thought I should try the first puppy. Well !!!! That is another story altogether. I think I am like a mad horse, race to fence refuse
(That relates to attempt to do dogs head in single crochet with a magic loop start!) ---
Too tricky try a different fence altogether
( That relates to ripping it out and trying head with a chain loop and half trebles)
Then retiring from race in disgust!!
So I have a puppy with a head ,body and 1 leg and don't think I could possibly think of doing 12--- let me see 48 legs!!!
So its look for another easier pattern !!Try and do a good deed every day.0 -
Ok, i want to also knit some squares for blankets . I have lookd at the link in the first post and just keep getting more clickies. Very overwhelmed. I can knit and purl and that's about it.
I wanted to knit for bonnie babies . Can anyone help with simple instructions? Colours of squares, what pattern or stitch etc? Thanks. Overwhelmed completely at all the linksA little nonsense now and then is relished by the wisest men

I am not sure what size Bonnie Babies wants for squares
If they are 8" just cast on 40 stitches and knit either in garter stitch ( all knit) or stocking stitch ( 1 row knit and 1 row purl) for as long as it takes to measure 8 inches in length, Usually 40 ridges in garter stitch. Then cast off
Good Luck and hope this helps ZippychickTry and do a good deed every day.0 -
Hi Chalky - I like your theory! I think I am like the White Rabbit from Alice in Wonderland who hops around muttering 'I'm late, I'm late!' It's because I am always up against the clock - I really don't know where the time goes. Well, I do, I just can't do anything about it at the moment. Take this afternoon, we came back home and I thought I'd have a couple of hours with my wool. DH has needed help moving the TVs around (we have one in our 'new' sitting room and one in the old one; they've needed connecting up to the satellite) then I checked my emails and the company I write freelance for needed two articles by first thing tomorrow morning! So I've just finished them and sent them off and the next thing I know it'll be time for dinner!
Anyway, here is a lovely pattern for a puppy - it may be more successful for you than the one you've been trying! http://freeamigurumi.blogspot.com/2008/10/amigurumi-dog.html
