Well, having had most of the day taking it fairly easy, I've just been helping DH move my bookcases into the room he's been working, which is becoming my office. Now I'm going to spend the rest of the evening on the sofa.
Welcome to Welsh Poppy.
Have a great evening, everyone.

Good morning all.
Maytaurus - hope you are OK. We're all missing you.
ISOM - lovely links. I love the cardi pattern - something else to add to my list! That craftster site looks good. I shall have a proper look once I've posted this.
Shaz - hope things get better for you soon.
I've just found this link which has lots of ideas for Christmas ornaments and so on http://www.garnstudio.com/juleverksted.php?lang=us
Well, my cold is definitely on the way out but it is making me so tired. I sat down last night with the intention of watching two of my favourite programmes, and missed them both completely because I just zonked out. I've so nearly finished the other sporty bootie that I'm making. Even DH is impressed with them - praise indeed! I did manage to sew in the ends of a few more poppies yesterday afternoon, so I suppose that's progress of a sort.
We have visitors for lunch today, DH's brother and his wife, and his aunt and uncle. We were thinking of taking them to look round the medieval part of town but, as I type, I can hear that the heavens have opened, so we may have to do that another time. We have definitely had a rainy week, so I'm hoping for something better next week.
Well, I need to replace an ink cartridge in my printer (is it me, or does anyone else hate that job?) so I'd better get that done, then have a shower.
Hope you all have a good day.

Morning all,
Hope you are all doing ok, hugs to anyone who is struggling, thinking of you Shaz with all this horrible stuff that is happening to you. Glad you feeling a bit better Kathy- I took a good wee while to get over the cold I had and hated having to submit to the tiredness, your body needs the rest though so be a good girl!
I actually managed to get the pins out last night and am making a 3ply ventilator bonnet, well only got flap and some rib of main bit done but still it is something! Also hope to do more of Mums neck tie later, if DS has a nap!
Thanks for the links ISOM and Kathy, yet more things I want to make!
Pippa, I love the Pudsey you put on yahoo- tis gorgeous. Am loving seeing all the pics. I will post some pics of my Christmas presents after Christmas as I want to the receivers (mum, sister etc) to see them before anyone else! Sorry again shezmit, about the clock mix up.
Ok, bye for now folks.

Hi all - just taking a break with a cuppa.
Orkney Star - I remember that you were unwell for quite a while, weren't you? I was lucky in that I didn't feel that ill, but the cold has made me more tired than usual, so I shall be glad to get it finished with. I suppose the upside is that it's out of the way before Christmas!
We're just waiting now for our visitors so I may as well sit down and do a bit of crochet, I think.
See you all later.

Hi peeps! sorry I've been mia this week, I've had a lovely visit from DS and his OH - the first time we've met in person - she's lovely and we've got on very well indeed.
I think I'll need to detox this weekend - far too much rich food and alcohol - but its been a delight having them here. They travelled down from Aderdeenshire last Sunday through all that dreadful rain, I'm hoping they have a much better journey back up the road later today.
I've had a quick look most days and you've all been in my thoughts, especially those who have had illness and troubles. ((HUGS)) to you all.
A quick welcome to all the newbies - its great to see so many people joining in this happy gang!
'bye for now
luv

Hello everyone -- Well I have missed you and now we are missing DD . But all that matters is we had such a lovely time together. I think this thread seems full of people who are quite like minded. We all seem to talk about our loved ones with genuine affection.
Of course we were hoping to have lovely weather so that she could have some lovely relaxing times. She loves the sea. ( She is the one I knitted the Manta Ray ans Squid for and she spent a year Scuba Diving in Thailand) We it was gorgeous and she swam and, snorkelled flew kites and just made DOH and I so happy that we had her. She was a very lovely surprise who popped in after we thought our family was complete 22 years ago
Well I have been popping in to check on you all every day and want to send gentle thoughts and a very big hug to all who are having a horrible time and for those worrying about not very nice things to come. Congratulations to all those celebrating and a big hello to the lovely new people who have joined us.
Well catching up with washing etc etc but will reprt on hooking activities tomorrow. Strictly and napping for me this evening I think. Have peaceful times everybodyTry and do a good deed every day.0
