morning all, didnt sleep well last night, kept waking at every noise, and checking cars were untouched. i did ring the police last night, there words were cant you park somewhere else, the town centre is well lit. ok so i live 2 miles from town centre and need my car lol.
anyway when i mentioned bullies name to them and his address, sems he already has a criminal record, so they said they would go to his house and warn him of teh consequences.
just hoping that joshua is ok at school and they bully dosent get to him there, incidentally josh tells me that a teacher was present in the pool room, when bully said he was going to throw something on my car, and a teacher told josh that he had heard it,

kathy, glad to hear you are slowly getting better, the booties, sound lovely
salome, (((big hugs))) hope your dad gets better soon
ISOM, i did enjoy the massage thanks. i too heard that a scarf should be as long as the person is tall.
kinsey, part of me feels like moving out of the area, but having lived here for 12 years now, it feels like home, and my parents are close by, so they can watch sons after school for an hour if i'm at one of my craft groups, dont know where else i could live, as i wouldnt know anybody
pippa, lovely of your friend to treat you to a meal out for your birthday, sounds like you enjoyed it .

craft group in town this afternoon, i'm taking my knitting as usual lol

hugs to those that need them

Salome - lots of (((hugs))) for your Dad. Hope he's better very soon.

Shaz - I really hope that something gets sorted out for you and Josh. You and your family go through such a lot; it's not fair that you should have to put up with all the stress and anxiety. I just wish some of us could be there to hold your hand.

Luckily, having struggled to make the tiny bit of wool I had left stretch to complete the second bootie, I've just found a brand new ball of the same batch, so I'm really pleased.

    Morning everyone,
thank you for all your kind thoughts this week, my mum is feeling better now thank goodness.

Shaz, that's terrible, hope you hear no more about this little vandal.
Mioliere, hope you're feeling better today. Thanks for the links, they're great.
Salome, hope your Dad is on the mend too.
Dazi, well done on the squares, I'm sure LH will be pleased to take them.
Pippa, nice to hear what a lovely day you had with your friend, I bet that really cheered you up.
May, thanks for the Abakhan sale info, we have a shop a few miles away in Manchester, so I think I'll have to make a trip there soon!

I've been sewing up squares into blankets which I find really relaxing, and yet I hate sewing faces and tiny stuff. I now have a couple of manic looking santas here that remind me of Jack Nicholson in The Shining. (Sorry Shezmit, hope you can sell them at your sale, they'll be on their way on Monday.)

((Hugs)) to all that need them
    love

I spent yesterday doing Christmas shopping - yeh I know its realy early and I know you don't want to hear it, but in order for it all to be delivered around the family and friends in the UK I have to get it all sorted. DH will go deliver next time he leaves the ship. I ended up with a migraine and only about half the things I wanted... France doesn't do Christmas till December and even then I scrable around trying to find things. So today I am meant to be wraping stuff, NOT IN THE MOOD, instead I am knitting little stockings for myself to hang up on some ribbon when we get to the festive season.
Glad to see Mioliere feeling a bit better, just don't try and do too much too soon, or you will be back on the sofa!
Off for a quick walk with the dogs and see if I can blow some of the cobwebs away while I am at it....my head is fuzzy today (not just with the curls either). Hope you all have a great day and a lovely weekend in prospect

Jean - this part of France has been doing Christmas for about a month. The shops are full of huge great big boxes of chocolates, whole aisles of them and much larger than you'd ever find in the UK; it must keep the dentists really busy in the New Year! I've also seen really ugly dolls and other weird toys and, today, I noticed tinsel and baubles (really expensive) in one of the local supermarkets. I'm glad I don't need any! I even saw some street decorations going up on a lamppost. It is well and truly on the way here! Hope the dogs help your fuzziness to go away.

Hi just thought I would hopefully put this link http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/deals/superdrug-stamps
for 5% off the price of books of postage stamps at Superdrug, MSE Martin was on with Lorraine Kelly saying that you could bulk buy these as they are just marked 'First Class' so even if the price of stamps increase you will be able to use them!
No knitting to report here at the moment :(
