Which is the case with ALL moneysaving... take what you can fairly
I jus wondered why 2 people I know got a fuel allowance and I didn't, what's wrong with that?
Why would workers get fuel allowance? They get paid anyway... :rotfl:
Alot of people seem very anti-student, bear in mind when you are old we are the people who will be writing your wills for you, controlling your finances, operating on you and the like!! :T

No fuel allowance except for students who need to use their own cars to attend due to disability. Any schemes like this are likely to be run by the college/university itself.

Why would we be spending time on here offering information and advice if we were anti student?

Many people who have been critical of you are students themselves!

Except in Scotland where SAAS over it to those who have to travel over a certain distance to attend.

Not all all but why should you get help with travel for such a short distance. If you lived in middle of know where and went to nearest town some 20 miles away with no other transport then maybe

OK, so maybe not such a stupid question after all, just a little lazy. SAAS have very clear information on their website here about eligibility for travel expenses - a 5 mile journey by private transport for an able-bodied student does not qualify.
loose does not rhyme with choose but lose does and is the word you meant to write.

10 extra miles of petrol per day means quite alot to a student...
