could you learn to drive with a friend in stead, it is a much cheaper way to learn and you c ould always top up with a 'real' teacher nearer to the test.Mortgage free Start amount feb 2014 227000. Current amount nov 2014 217000.

postingalwaysposting wrote:this month:
38.00 - internet and phone (will get £11 back but not till 13th)
30.00 - mobile
5.00 - donation
50.00 - bus card
120.00 - housekeeping
40.00 - savings
3.20 - online game
180.00 - 10hours driving
76.00 - driving lessons while on holiday from work
100.00 - owed to mum
9.00 - cc1 payment (direct debit)
total = 651.20
Is your mobile a contract or pay as you go. As it seems rather high. Could you not cut that back and the donation and save about £25 a month. Cut back on the savings by £20 a month.
Would your mum not let you cut her payments say to £50 a month a until you have paid off your credit cards.
That would give you £95 a month.
Is there any way to increase your income?
If you are living at home why are you paying both internet and phone. I am slightly confused. I understand if the internet is used only by you. But phone I don't. As when I lived at home that was in with the housekeeping I paid my mum. Just like water and electric.

That would give you £95 a month.
Is there any way to increase your income? no unfortunatly, i cant do a second job as my hours as silly although i am trying to sell stuff on ebay

As when I lived at home that was in with the housekeeping I paid my mum. Just like water and electric. I dont pay for the phone, i pay £28 for my internet, looking at dropping this but tied to the supplier, mum will give me the £11 for the line but that will not be till at least the 13th of next month

LMAOsimple i have no 'friends'
To be honest friends are overated and expensive, pestering you to go out drinking and whatnot, however we are all friends on here so you always have someone to talk to0 -
I know you are enjoying your lessons, but they are expensive and are prolonging your debt. Why not:
Enjoy your next lesson as you cannot cancel it. But cancel the rest of the month and only go for one a month for a while. Concentrate on your theory test for the moment, and get a mate or neighbour to take you out once or twice a week, you can do a chore for them in return or pay a little for the fuel and their time. Put the money you have saved for your car towards your debts.
Assuming that you have saved £100 so far, next month could look like this:
£36 offical lesson
£34 on unofficial lessons (you might be able to get someone to do it for less!)
---
£70 Total on Driving Ambition.
£110 (saved from driving lessons) + £100 (savings) + £100 (contrib. savings)
put £155.37 to settle CC2
and £154.63 towards CC1 (now £152.31)
----
Next Month.
Pay off CC1 with £152.31
Pay £57.69 to your mum (now £88.65)
Next Month.
£88.65 to Mum
Leaving you: £121.35 to have either proper lessons again, or put towards your car.
This means you are still getting lessons for the moment, but you'll be debt free in less than 3 months, and therefore better equiped to enjoy your cash or save it. (or both)
Best wishes whatever you decide. Your best bit would be finding something more highly paid to do part time. For instance making something and selling it online (Jewellry, Art, or even a service of some kind) that way you could do something you are good at for fun, earn some cash, and speed everything up.
Kindest Regards
Edit: Sorry since I began posting you have ruled out some of the stuff I mentioned.I believe the struggle for financial freedom is unfair

If your mum drives, surely it would be worth getting her to give the insurance company a ring to ask how much it would cost to add you to the policy.
I remember when I was learning to drive, my mum had me added to the policy for £50. That’s around the cost of two lessons and I’m sure if you explain your financial situation to your mum and your main goal to drive she will take you out.
A friend also added me to his insurance policy and I passed my test in his car, so saved a fortune on lessons.0 -

I would love to but there is no trust there either, and if i damage the car she will be unable to get to work
update canceled my donation (saving £5) droped my savings account direct debt to £10 may take this off soon? (saving £30) transfered £100 (£1.23 stayed in there as it needs to have something in there to stay open)from my savings account to my current account (to pay off cc2) applyed for a 0% cc deal (i dont think i will get it but its worth a try)
