Never mind. At least your debts are not too bad. When you look at some of these other posts, people owe thousands and thousands. At least you seem pretty sensible about paying all your bills and not spending. Perhaps this is just a bad month, but hopefully it wont take you long to become debtfree and then youll feel much happier and youll have more money to save for that car. One thing, could you not transfer both of your cc cards to a 0% that way every penny will go to pay off your debts. As I said before youdont owe that much so it should be pretty straightforward for you to pay them off.

yes tesuhoha i see your point but to me they are huge debts, when you are looking at £6 to pay off these debts its mad, i have just relisted my laptop (to start tues so it will only cost 5p :D ) and i am seriously thinking of either droping my savings account direct debit to £10/£20 or doing that and taking the money in there out, it will be a shame though as it will me taking a huge step backwards :(

    Your SOA says £5 donation

Would that not be better off with you at the moment - you can always donate again once you are in a better position ??

you might have had more to live on oif you didnt waste money on things like online games!!

Come off it lynz, 3.20 a month on luxuries is fantastic, that was such a bad post for you!

I know we went through your budget before posty and i suggested a few things.

How far away from finishing riving lessons are you?

Its quite clear you cant afford them at the moment, also the donation as well, i said that should go for the time being, you can always make it up in a few months time when you clear the debt

Again as i said before savings are pointless when you are paying more interest in credit card repayments, so i URGE you, to use whatever you have saved and this months savings money, put it towards clearing off the debt (i think you said it was for the car, and it is good to save up for one rather than get a loan etc) but you cant keep going on like this, your putting too much pressure on yourself and trying to stretch your budget too far

Well the aprs on your ccs are really high. Thats probably why youre not seeing the debt come down very much. Why dont you apply for a 0% card. Your credit score is probably quite good. Dont use the card at all, just use the 0% to pay off your debts quicker.

How far away from finishing riving lessons are you? i have only had 6 hours so miles, but my prospects isnt going to look up without it

Its quite clear you cant afford them at the moment, also the donation as well, i said that should go for the time being, you can always make it up in a few months time when you clear the debt ok i agree with the donation and will cancel that now on my direct debts, but i dont know about driving, its the only thing i do these days that i am proud of

I see your point now and will prob transfer the money over and pay off my cc2 shame though as i will not be able to get a loan or anything if and when i pass

6 hours so far, ouch you are a long way off

Why dont you do what im doing

    1) Revise as much as you can for the theory
    2) Take the lessons when you pass that

In the mean time use the 250 you have spent this month on clearing the debt, it will take 3 months (by which time you should be ready/passed the threory), then go back to the lessons.

I know what you say about propspects ive been there myself, but with this debt holding you back, at the moment you are struggling too much to manage
