How many lessons are you taking - I thought they were about £20 each

So based on that you are having 18-ish lessons a month ??? Thats a lot !!!

Can you not just reduce the number of lessons rather then give them up ???

    Just a thought !!

6 hours so far, ouch you are a long way off

Why dont you do what im doing

    1) Revise as much as you can for the theory
    2) Take the lessons when you pass that

In the mean time use the 250 you have spent this month on clearing the debt, it will take 3 months (by which time you should be ready/passed the threory), then go back to the lessons.
I know what you say about propspects ive been there myself, but with this debt holding you back, at the moment you are struggling too much to manage

unfortunutly i cant, my next lesson is tommorow i cant cancel less than 48 hours before lesson or i have to pay, also i was heading into depression before i did this, and i must say i look forward to it, its 2 hours a week that i spend doing something for myself in order to get somewhere i know it may sound odd to you but its me :) also once i am driving from home i will prob put it down to one hour but at the momment i am not doing much

i have 2 hours a week, this will drop to one once i am driving from home, only this month i have a week off work so i am taking and extra 4 hours one week, so in a normal month the £180 will last me 5 lessons which is over a months worth (again this will drop once i get going)

Come off it lynz, 3.20 a month on luxuries is fantastic, that was such a bad post for you!

Your right, sorry postingalways posting, I was out of order there. Sorry, if thats all you are spending on luxuries you are doing better than me :)

I'll offer something useful & constructive now :) Could you for example drop your driving lessons to say one every two weeks if you are having them weekly at the mo should free up a bit more money for you.
 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.

Sorry always posting. Didnt mean to belittle your debt, just to cheer u up. I dont think your credit score will be bad just because you dont pay everything off every month. Im not trying to encourage you to take out more ccs to spend, just to pay off debt. I think the saving up for a car rather than borrowing is admirable and if you are living at home with your mum you are in a really good position to get yourself straight and then save. It wont take much longer if you are debt free because you wont be paying interest any more, youll be earning it.

Deffinately stop saving you are extending how long you owe on the ccs so it's making the total bill higher.

I would also say postpone all lessons untill the cc bils are gone this is also extending and increasing it.

Use that money to pay off the bills.

You will get a car sooner if you stop them both, pay off the debts, then restart later, or maybe at worse have 1 lesson a month just to keep in practice or better still ask a mate to let you practice in their car once a week offer to drive them to tesco somthing like that.
