OK if we've all stopped patronising Inactive...
Anyone having problems with channels up in the 800s, or, as I experienced with my grandad's, the channels starting with BBC4 and loads of channels being assigned as 000, take a look at these links, which will explain the problems and tell you what to do. Basically, go contact the manufacturer!

Check these links for sagem and see if there is a helpline. A workmate rang the Humax helpline today and got a recorded message on how to retune which seemed to solve their problems. Use the first link and there is a list of companies and their phone numbers. Its not that we have more patience as we grow older, its just that we're too tired to care about all the pointless drama0 -

Which model number is it?
There's a couple of Sagem PVRs listed here which are currently affected by the changes.
According to that, there's an OAD software update available for those models. There's a phone number for more information.0 -
I stated earlier that my planned recording listing had gone heywire after the retune. Well this morning it seemed OK but..... if I go to the guide and select a programme to record AFTER 7.10.09 it shows on the guide as selected but doesnt show on the planned recordings list.
Anybody else have anything similiar?
I hear mention of people switching from the 15 day guide to the 8 day guide +. Was wondering if this may help the situation.0 -
I've just come across this thread, I have not retuned but have not lost any channels. Do I still need to retune even though nothing has disappeared?0

If ITV3 and ITV4 should be on channels 10 and 24 on freeview, why after retuning are they on 800 and 801? I thought all the channel information etc. was automatically set.A problem shared is a problem multiplied.0

I have a Humax PVR which always used to show ITV4 in the 800 range. I contacted Humax and they said this happens when you can receive signals from more than one transmitter. They said it's best not to have anything in the 800s and told me how to do a manual tune which forces the PVR to search only the most apropriate tuning channel for your location. I think this problem is very much brand-specific because the frreview in my Panasonic TV tunes itself fine.
MPerhaps you need to contact your brand manufacturer?0 -
I've a Humax machine, and have lost ITV3, even after re-installing, and re-scanning.
Please help as OH enjoyed having this channel the last few months, and she thinks I'm making sure it's not available ! lolBaby-Mechanic
The only reason I keep smiling is so that people wonder what I've been up to !!0 -

Have you also lost ITV4?
Are you served by a relay transmitter?
If so, see here for information which might be relevant.0 -
The frustrating thing is that we had Channel Five before the retune, as well as ITV3 !!Baby-Mechanic

if you are getting problems, try a factory reset first, it's in the menu listing and then do a rescan.
This solved my box problem0
