Good old political correct person you are

You are doing it again... ;)

BTW using upper case is considered shouting and deemed to be bad manners, I think I have made my point, so I will leave you to it now, but just remember the fact that somebody is " elderly " does not make them in any way inferior, as you clearly implied.

OK if we've all stopped patronising Inactive...
Anyone having problems with channels up in the 800s, or, as I experienced with my grandad's, the channels starting with BBC4 and loads of channels being assigned as 000, take a look at these links, which will explain the problems and tell you what to do. Basically, go contact the manufacturer!

Yes, my TV is one of those due to fail at switchover. It's had a few channels in the 800+ range for a while, and I think a few more appeared this retune. During the retune they are all shown as 000, but it looks as though once the scan for channels is complete, the 000 channels are renumbered sequentionally starting from 800 (so 800, 801, 802, etc).

All the expected channels appear to be present though. It doesn't really make much difference unless you want to change channels by entering the channel number on the remote.

I get duplicated channels in the 800's, they are being received from a different transmitter to my main one.

I think mine must be related to the sensitivity of the tuner in my IDTV. When I tune in my PVR, I don't get any channels in the 800's. They're both connected to the same aerial.

You could well be right there, my PVR pulls in a slightly different channel line up to my Freeview TV, both from the same aerial.

All I have got is 5 on 800 using the old mux and transmitting the "5 has moved" screen. When are they going to get rid of the retune pop-up  And what is lcn89 "News" ?
