  • Hey Diary!

Lovely day off today so plans are as follows,

Stay in bed with laptop until around 10ish - 1030 at absolute latest.
Get washed and dressed as soon as I get up as makes for a more productive day.
Power clean the house. (A quick blitz through - 1 hour max for whole house)
Make a carrot cake. (changed the recipe slightly last time and used part oil part butter to try and make it moist but OH made a complaint that its was greasy) so will revert back to original recipe. Only making this as I have 1/2 tub of mascapne cheese that I am loath to throw out.
Make some shortbread. Never made this before but looks dead easy!
Make some spicy carrot and tomatoe soup. This will be a 1st also.
After marathon baking/cooking session maybe relax for an hour or so with book.
Go to the gym/toning class this evening. My weight loss stuck last week but it was my own fault, despite exercising my head off I continued to stuff my face with goodies when I shouldn't off. So weigh in today was a bit of a relife if I'm totally honest as I deserved to gain weight this week but I have stayed the same. I am now aiming for 3lbs this week to finaly take me under the 10st mark once and for all. This time next week I want to be writing that I weigh 9st 13lbs!

3days till pay day! £5 in purse. £10 in current account. want to try and pay off another £100 of overdraft this month but will have to wait and see what finances are like when i draw up the budgets on Thurs.

Have a good day if anybody is reading.......

So since last month we have managed to pay off £971 from our cc+loans. My own personal debt has reduced by £582. This is going off our most recent statments so the debt will be actually less than this but I am going to calculate on the same day each month (pay day). Of course this month we have taken out an additional loan of 10k for the kitchen but I'm not going to add this on at the minute as it will demotivate me so I'm just going to focus on the cc's for the minute. OH showed me his bank statement the other night and he was actually £200 in credit 2 days before pay day!!!!. He gave me £100 to pay off his halifax card, dead proud of him! Have just been working out my budget for March and it will be tight but do-able.

    Hello Diary,

What a lovely sunny day it has been today, it finally feels like spring is here. Had washing on the line today for the 1st time in months and OH mowed the lawn. We then packed a little picnic and went for a drive to the beach. (the picnic was a car picnic, not that warm yet!). OH is now watching spartacus, one of his fave films and i'm in bed with MSE. Might go and get a dvd later.
Did the weekly shop yesterday and dispite all my declartions of taking a list, only taking cash blah blah blah I managed to spend £110. So that leaves me with £40 for the rest of the month, definatly not doable. I have worked out my budget for March and I have an additional £120 to pay off as an overpayment and I have a dilema, Should I reduce my ovrdraft again or should I clear my Halifax card completly! Don't know what to do. I am leaning towards the Halifax card as it would be good to get rid of 1 card completly, I'll decide tommorrow I think.

Hi BP - I'm still reading, don't post often though.

You seemed to be doing really well, so just treat the grocery shopping as a bit of a blip and try and make what you bought last as long as you possibly can. If you've bought stuff that's fresh and needs to be used, think about freezing it before then, or making it up into stuff and freezing it.

Sometimes the boost you get from paying off a card is better for you as it makes you feel better.
    Keep it up.

Hi Gill - I think i'm going to make another payment to my ovedraft, just realised that I have no gym membership to pay this month as it comes out on the 1st april which is my next pay day so I should now be able to stretch to £150 which would take my overdraft down to £450. I know what you mean tho about paying off one card, it would be great motivation but I am so guilty off setting myself goals and then never following them through so I have decided to tackle this damn overdraft untill I can get it to £100.

Sadly I have not reached my weight loss goals for this week and due to my new found love of baking cakes I have gained 4lbs taking me back up to 10st 6ilbs:eek:. I am not a happy bunny today but its my own fault really and I feel dead sluggish and full today as I have ate so much over the weekend. Going to be sensible today and eat healthy and then hit the gym this evening.

Exercise goals for this week as follows -

Monday - 30 minute run & body tone class
    Tuesday - 30 minute run & legs,bums,tums class
    Wednesday - rest day
Thursday - 30 minute run & body tone class
Friday - 30 minute run / 30 minute weight circuit.
    Sat - rest day.

Hopefully this plan combined with some healthy eating should shift some flab this week, would be great if I could get back to 10st 2ilbs by next Monday. Should be a nsd today also.

    Hi,

Gill - I go to the Lifestyles gym in wavertree (the aquatics centre) Its really good value, I pay £28 a month and for that I get unlimted gym access, pool and all classes, so i definatly get full use of all the facilities as it would cost me around £5 per visit otherwise.

Littleboots - I had to stop myself from doing any baking this week as I just eat and eat when their are cakes around. Homemade are so much tastier arn't they!
What flavour cupcakes? I still havn't mastered the cupcake yet they end up looking more like muffins, I think i'm using too much mixture. Next baking project for me is Lemon Cheesecake which I will try on my next day off.

Just paid £150 off my overdraft so it now stands at £450:T.
    A NSD today.
Managed to resist a gorgous pair of shoes today that I REALLY WANT. but i'm gonna be strong - I don't need any more shoes.

    night.
