    Well the boot sale was a succses, Made £75.50 profit so very happy:j. Came home with quite a bit unsold so will do another venue next week. House feels so much better/cleaner now I have started to de-clutter. From now on i'm really gonna think twice before buying ANYTHING at all. Filled another bin bag since i've been home of stuff for the bin and i'm gonna aim to do this every couple of days. Found £4 in M&S vouchers in an old purse that are valid until next year so they will come in handy.

    Trying to run the frezzer down whilst there isn't much in it so I can defrost it before it gets filled up again so having shoulder of Lamb for tea with homemade roasties, veg and gravey.

    Morning, the sun is shineing for a change and its gonna be a great day.
    Yesterday turned out to be a nsd and i'm going to try for today to be at least a low spend. Pay day on Friday:j.

    I agreed to half whatever we made at the bootsale with oh so I have £35 to put towards my first overpayment of £62. We plan to sort through oh's wardrobe this week and in addition to what we came home with yesterday we will have enough to do another sale this weekend. One thing did really suprise me though, had a big laundry bag full of books, all good condidtion ect for 50p each and they didn't sell at all, cd's also didn't sell (may have to go to music magpie afterall:mad:) the thing that did go well was clothes and shoes. So that's what i'll concentrate on this week.

    Plans for today include.

    strip beds and wash bedding, line dry. (i love seeing washing on the line)

    finally make a start on the sanding in the hallway ready for painting this week.

    Oh has a few bits to finish in the garden that i think he'll want to get finished today.

    gym this evening to use membership.

    breakfast/lunch/dinner, all from home.

    Have a great Monday.

  • Another nsd yesterday:j. Just checked my online banking and all my dd's have now come out and i still have £10.09 left to last untill Fri. Still have my car boot money there so thats £45. I'll put £20 to that when I get paid on Friday so thats my 1st overpayment of £65 (woo hoo).

    Have decided to re-calculate my debts and as of today they are-

    M&S = £2231
    Halifax = £572
    Citi = £1612
    Tesco = £2432
    Mbna = £5340
    Overdraft = £550.

    Total debts = £12737.

    this dosn't include a loan which is due to finish in 2012. This is mine and oh's and then oh has aprox £8k on his own cards. HOW did we spend so much money????????

    I'm hopeing my egg credit card will arrive soon and i plan to transfer the m&S, halifax and tesco cards to that one and try and concentrate all my overpayments to citi.

    Plans for today-

    Make shepards pie for tea tonight - have just about scraped everything I can out of the freezer now and have some mince and potatoes to use up- just 1 more evening meal to find tommorrow.

    washing out on line

    Continue with sanding in hallway, think i should be able to complete this today hopefully. OH has been grouting the flags in the back garden and when we get paid we need to buy some soil for planters and some gravel to fill in some gaps around the garden and the garden will be looking quite nice. pity its raining most of the time.

  • Morning,

    Payday today:j. Don't know why i'm excited as I still have no cash!!

    Things to do today-

    Shopping - using list and will be shopping around (experimented yesterday and entered my shopping list on mysupermarket and suprisingly tesco came out the cheapest) but I know i can get some of the stuff cheaper in places like iceland. Has anybody noticed how rapidly food prices are rising? my usual brand of oven chips has risen by 30p over the last two weeks:eek:.

    Need to go and get some soil and gravel to finish off the garden, another area with a big price rise. we where looking at the bulk bags of gravel last year and they where £60 now they are £120:mad:.

    hopefully it will stop raining soon ..............

  • Hi Badpenny

    Looks like you're doing well and keeping on the road of debt freedom!!

    Know what you mean about price rises - I remember not so long ago when a packet of value spaghetti was 17p and now it's 36p! I'm beginning to sound like my gran :rotfl:

    Keep up the good work x

    Morning ,

    well i spent 4 hours yesterday going from supermarket to supermarket and blew my self imposed £75 budget by £20. I did get some good deals though, in morrisons they had an offer on Daz liquid (20 washes) 2 for £4. in tesco they where £3.99 each, this will last me about 2 months also got oh some beer 3 cases for £20. I've decided to try my grocery budget at £200, I was going to be strict with myself and say £50 per week but I realise that some weeks will be more expensive than others as I seem to run out of everything at once. So I have £85 left to last me 4 weeks but I do have a full freezer with enough food for 16 evening meals! so will just have to do a top up shop next week hopefully.

    Managed to get the stuff we needed for the garden yesterday for £85, i had bugeted £100 from wages so I am very pleased it has arrived this morning so oh is now busy in garden, I can't wait to see it finished now.

    Mum visited last night and I was a bit cheeky and asked her for some baking equipment for my birthday in October. I need a set of scales, a large mixing bowl, a wire rack and a cake tin, Its all stuff that I need but don't want to buy myself. I have really started to enjoy baking and want to build up my equipment cupboard. she didn't mind me asking and would rather buy me somthing I want.

    I have my 1st £65 ready to pay off one of my cc's but can't decide which one to concentrate on, I'm still waiting for my egg cc to arrive so I can transfer my balences, hopfully it may come today.

    Its free listing on 22/23 on e-bay but I don't have my camera to take the pictures:mad:.

    Right time to crack on.................

    need to find some stuff for boot sale tommorrow
    have a few things to do in the hallway
    washing
    going to pictures tonight i think (bought my popcorn, choc ect yesterday).

    updates later...............................................

    Morning,

    I didn't make it to the car boot sale this morning, oh was very tired as he had worked really hard in the garden yesterday (it now looks fab, very mediterranean) and he has a few bits and pieces that he wants to get finished today and then we can go and choose some nice new plants (all budgeted for this month) can't wait to see it all finished.

    I have now finally finished all the sanding in the hallway its taking me ages but its now done thank god:jand now we can stain the wood and start glossing this week. I feel that we are starting to make some progress now even though we have about 10 different 'unfinished projects on the go the garden and the hallway where becoming major bugbears.

    yesterday turned out to be a nsd which was good, we didn't end up going to the cinema as i forgot x factor was on.:T

    Moneysaving activity for today.

    make my 1st £65 overpayment to citi credit card
    keep to a low spend day (just papers and possibly cinema tonight)
    make oh a nice cooked breakfast when he gets up
    washing and line dry
    check online banking
    weed the front garden path

    thats it for now.

    Phew,

    Had quite a major de-clutter today, I have been ruthless, no cupboard has been left unopened today, so far I have, cleaned out the undersink cupboard and re-organised, gutted the airing cupboard and got 3 binbags worth of c***P from there alone. Next stop OH's drawers (how many plain white t-shirts do you actually need!!!), next, my drawers and then finally my wardrobe. I have managed to find quite a bit to ebay and a few more bits for the next car boot sale. In total I have got rid of 7 binbags worth of rubbish today so I am feeling good. Oh has cleaned out the cupboard under the stairs (where he currently keeps his tool's ect, untill we get a garden shed) and he is now varnishing the stair bannisters) so today we have achieved quite a lot.

    Yesterday we got all the plants for the garden that we wanted (i went over budget by £20 but I will claw that back from elsewhere.) I am quite proud that I didn't even consider putting it on my cc, so even though I blew the budget it was still a small victory for me.!
    Spent yesterday planting and enjoying the sun in the garden and it looks lovely now. Went to the cinema last night, oh paid and I took sweets with us so just bought a drink to share so only cost me 2.20 so a cheep night.

    I have finally made my 1st overpayment on my Citi cc of £65 so feeling quite pleased with myself. I can now coulor in my 1st block of my chart. If I can muster the strengh to do another boot sale at the weekend and get some stuff on e-bay that should clear the next overpayment.

    Off to the gym soon for my fav class, diet wise I have been sensible today as I would like to try and loose my final stone to get me to 9 and a half stone by my birthday at the begining of Oct.

    More updates later........
