    Money saving for today,

    Breakfast from home
    Lunch from home
    Tea from freezer.
    Line dried washing
    A no spend day.

Think its important to remind myself that every day i'm doing positive things to help myself even if i'm not actually paying anything towards my debt.

Another quiet night tonight, oh has rented a dvd........

    More tommorrow

    Hi,

Money saving activity for Monday (or not)

failed to take lunch to work today. Reason, lack of planning, running late, will not happen again. Cost = £3.49

Checked online banking, no change, nothing in and nothing out.
used gym membership this evening so no wastage there.
threw away 1 lettuce and 1/2 bag new potatoes, reason= moldy lettuce and sprouting potatoes. fridge looks very bare.
counted money in purse, £13.21 to last me 11 days. £3.50 in shopping budget.

hopefully something more exciting will happen tomorrow!!!

  • You are right, I know, its just that 2 weeks off work is a long time when you don't have anything planned......... but i'm not going to book anything thats how i got in this mess in the first place. i'll have to use this time productivly though and get some stuff done. still need to raise my 1st £62 so i am still planning on doing a boot sale this weekend and need to get some stuff on ebay.

    had some unavoidable spends today.

    £1.47 can of deodrant
    £2.50 car parking
    £1.50 lunch.

The cupboards are starting to look really bare and oh is starting to moan but i'm NOT going to Tesco.

got a £5 voucher from m&s today which will come in handy.

  • :T Just applied for a egg credit card = 0% on balence transfers untill oct 2011 and i've been accepted:j. AND with a credit limit of £5250! I thought i'd only get a credit limit of about £2k. This is gonna save me loads, I can get rid of M&S who are charging me 29% and proberbly Tesco as well:j might even be able to get rid of overdraft alothough not sure how to balence transfer to own account. Can't wait to get this sorted now.

Anyway, shamefully I am still in bed, but it is the first day of my holidays so feel i'm entitled to a bit of a lazy morning. gonna stay on here catching up untill 12ish and then potter about for a bit and then i'm gonna finish off sanding down some of the woodwork in the hall ready for next week's re-decoration project.

Just need to venture out a bit later for some milk otherwise gonna keep it to a nsd.

Well i've not had a very productive day. I have spent most of it asleep:mad:. I have felt really lethargic today for some reason and can't seem to muster the energy to do anything, so didn't make a start on the sanding after all, will do this tommorrow i think.

Had a little look around this afternoon for some more stuff for the car boot sale and i have managed to fill another box and 2 carrier bags of stuff. I am quite shocked at how much 'stuff' i have accumalted over the years. I have got quite a lot of books to shift, chick lit mostly but all in good condition and i'm thinking of £1 each, is that reasonable?

have had quite a good day food wise but that's cos the cupboards are bare. I really don't think that we will last untill next friday and will have to get a few bits in but i don't think i'll need to spend more than £15.

Another thing i'm going to do this week is sort out my cleaning cupboard under the sink, it is about to burst. Another area where i waste so much money.

Well with the exception of buying milk yesterday it turned out to be a nsd. I have £4 in my shopping budget left and £6 in personal spending money. This is to last until next Friday. I also have roughly £100 in my bill envelope. I don't really need any personal spending money but will need to pay £10 for my car boot pitch tommorrow. I'm going to take £20 out of my envelope and do a little bit of a top up shop (not in tesco) I will need the following.

    2 loaves of bread
    eggs
    milk
    potatoes
    breakfast ceral
    a few pkts of bikkys.

this should be enough for the next few days to supplement what we already have in.

Just debating weather to go for a quick workout to rev up my energy levels for the day, can't afford to have another lazy unproductive day. i need to have another look for some boot sale stuff, there is the shoe cupboard under the stairs that has a few bits and bobs in there i think. My aim tommorrow is to clear £100 at the sale. £62 will go to one of my cards and then i will have to 'PAY' my sales assistant (OH), then replace the money i borrow from the bill account.

    to do today.

    breakfast dishes
    workout ???????????
look for more stuff for boot sale
    quick shop
get a kitty together of loose change
    make some sandwichs for tommorrow
possibly some sanding in hallway, depending on oh's plans for today.

    Have a great Saturday.

I've had a very productive day, it started with me trying to fill another couple of box's for the car boot sale and it just escalated. i've gutted my wardrobe, cleaned out all the drawer's under the beds, the bedside cabinets and under the stairs.

All ready for a 5am start.
