it did take ages as i could not decide what to get but was then told to bring the item to the till and the sale price would be disregarded. I made sure they were items i wanted: pyrex mixing bowl £5, 2 x large crystal trays £6 each, baking tray £7.50. they said this was the new rule so ple dont have to wait until the sale ends and come in again after sunday. I was sooooooo surprised as they let me use all 4 vouchers (and i did not have to bring 3 other ple), and the horrid manager was not around. i was totally on my guard lest they whinged the line "1 per person"......but no, the s.a were really nice, they carefully wrapped up my glassware and even gave me extra bags cos the trays were really heavy.......laura ashley and paperchase were not part of the voucher promotion (so they said).......wonder if they will be this sat??? as saw some lovely things in there........

All in all I used 19 vouchers. Got just under £100 of goods for xmas. :)

7 on the first time, in Croydon store.
5 the wifey by herself in Oxford Street.
7 us together for the last time in Croydon. All in all a great result. Fantastic offer.

Went into Manchester store with downloaded printout. Last time I went, 2 wks ago, they said they would honour it. Now they said they had been writing on printouts last week and my printout, of course, had no writing on it. After hassle, they honoured it, but no edibles. When I pointed out that this & the no-sale item stipulation ruled out most of the store, SA said I could have £5 off the original price, so got the item I'd had my eye on. Had to put my name & address on the voucher. It doesn't say one voucher per person though, so I might just try again next time I am in Manchester, though this new voucher sounds more promising.

Reading back, OPs got hassle on Saturday, so maybe midweek is the better option.

  • is anyone still using these???
  • Just used the second of my £5 vouchers this morning. The Darlington branch has a new section of Yankee candles and the votives are only £1.60 each. Bought 3 for £4.80 and let them have the 20p. ;)
