Been to get my first voucher from meadowhell and just been told the offer is now withdrawn as people were coming in with their familys and getting stuff for free.oh well.I wasn't quick enough.why put these kind of offers on then.anyone heading to meadowhell don't bother

The Glasgow store had run out when I visited last week. The staff member said some people were coming in with 6 tokens and being given 6 vouchers! Have the staff no sense or what!
  • Hi
i went in house of fraser today and they have a sale on,
most of the stuff in homeware is reduced,so i grabbed some ramekins
reduced from £2.50 to £1.25 so i was going to grab 4
when i got to the till i was told you cant use the voucher on sale items,
i pointed out that almost everything was in the sale and was told
that i will just have to wait until the sale ends on the 26th.

  • I've been told you can't use them on sale items either, I used one in Manchester today and it worked fine, they've not got any vouchers but will take the print-out

I went to Worcester yesterday - the SA who was one of the senior staff was very friendly and got my voucher for me - I got a Christmas gift for a friend a tea mug with gingerbread men/tea in which was £6.99 and they took the £5 off.

I went upstairs and got my other voucher which Ive kept to use another day.

Worcester had plenty of vouchers in the tills if anyone still needs one and is in that area?

yes you will. I went in on sat with 4 family members (as i had 4 internet print outs) and the s.a had no clue. She told us to write our name and addresses on the back as they had no cards n they would post gift cards to us, so we did. Then she decided to ask a colleague, as she was not too sure. He did not have a clue either. Then she trotted off to fetch the manager who came and said it was no problem that we could exchange the vouchers for the item as they had "run out" of gift cards, but it was "1 per person" .... i replied firmly there are 4 us, she carried on repeating "1 per person" line. I said in an annoyed voice there are 4 of us. I made sure I asked her what her name was and if she was the shop floor manager. I proceeded to inform her that i had rang cust. serv. beforhand and they had said it was a card i'd be given......making it clear i did not believe her as she said it was ok to hand the voucher in after the 18th oct. and she did not know who i had spoken to on the phone. Oh wat a palava!!! and so much time wasting!!!
In the end she wrote a small note on the bk of each voucher saying she gave us permission to use the voucher until 30 and we did not need to exchange it for a gift card (coz they had none).
They are very snooty and up themselves in there i must say!!! due to them wasting our time I did not have a chance to look around at the items as i had to get to an appointment....

Does anyone know if i can use it against a sale item in the manchester deansgate store? i think i read on here some1 said they did........

I was told Sat that it can only be used in the home department on non sale items. I spotted the Christmas items in the homewear dept - only a few items and got the gingerbread man mug, asked about the £5 teddybear but was told cant use it for that.

I shall use my 2nd voucher for one of the Christmas mugs I reckon.
