My colours are Purple & white with touches of silver.I am wearing purple and my daughter and niece(flowergirl and bridesmaid)are wearing white.OH is in black with a purple waistcoat.Everyone else is in lilacs, purple, plums, dark grey and black and will have the purple in their corsages or buttonholes.
My jewellery is silver with purple and silver pearls.Rings are white gold so look silver.
The flowers are white with a touch of deep purple lisianthus.
Table is all white with silver napkin holders and purple rose petals.
Cake table will have white cover, purple rose petals and silver letters saying "LOVE".
Invites are purple card with silver ribbon and white insets. All other stationery white with silver.
M&S has some gorgeous silver and some purple glassware just now so I am considereing splashing out on that for the table too.

I think our colour scheme may be going out the window - OH & I both wanted purple with hot pink (sounds odd, but I only wanted flashed of hot pink to break up the purple) but now we've hit a problem.

I'm trying on dresses this weekend and I think the dress I like is in the sample sale and if that's the case, it'll only come with the red trim, not the purple that I want... So do you think red and purple will look ok together or do I need to change things?

Red and purple and fab together.Look into whether the trim on the dress can be changed for fuschia fabric if that what you would prefer though.
Red and purple flowers on vera wangs site.I will try to get some links on as it is a colour scheme I was considering too so have looked at loads of red and purple stuff.
Purple and fuschia is really good too and theres an absolutely perfect orchid with both colours in which would be the perfect focal point for a purple and hot pink scheme.

  • Do you have to have a colour theme?
I mean my dress and cloak will be blue / white & blue.
Table centers have red roses. Not sure what colour my table runner will be, jsut that it's dark.

Mebbe it's cos I've gone medival it's not so much of a 'thing'

Still want them Jimmy Choo's ;)

Thank you so much for this! I'm still optimistic that the dress will come with a purple trim...

Funny you should mention the orchid - that's a flower that OH & I both loveand we were already considering having them as table centrepieces (therefore being able to give them to mums and grandparents as thankyou's / keepsakes)

You don't have to have a colour scheme, you've got a theme instead :p
