oh do you have photos ?
the men in ours have dark brown suits too and tan shoes :)

I do have pictures but can't upload from work so will do when I get home tonight. There's a couple of pictures of me and OH on the August 2009 brides thread. I will put one of the ushers and bridesmaids on here tonight for you to look at.
:D Finally decided to start growing up when it comes to money!:j
  • Hi,

I originally wanted Ivory and the blokes in dark brown, but my OH says that brown suits are like 1970's maths teachers, so now the blokes are wearing dark grey with ivory tie and waistcoat. I've told my bridesmaids just to buy whatever dress they like as long as they compliment each other and they'll wear the dress again - although I am trying to stave off my bridezilla tendencies to ask them to wear teal.

We're having a spring wedding so having bright springy colours - daffodils, rannunculus, muscari or freesia, viburnum opulus, hyacinth (yellows, possible hint of purple and lime greens). I'm going to have green gingham table cloths and bunting which I'm quite excited about.

hiya! we are having red, fuschia, orange and yellow. we have 4 bridesmaids and 3 ushers and a best man so nice even numbers. they will each be wearing corresponding colours. so best man in red cravat and head bridesmaid in red dress.

they will be in one colour each so red, fuschia, orange and yellow bridesmaids and caravts on ushers. these colours then go onto the flowers, red, fushcia, orange and yellow gerberas. :)

im in white so other half will have a white cravat, as will both dads. bit plain there but needs to be so the 4 colours stand out :)

its colourful and bright and reflects my personality i think! going to look fab i cant wait!

    GOLD!

I've not worn my gold Jimmy Choo shoes (I've had them 4 years) so its a good enough reason for a colour scheme as any.

Gold dress, gold shoes, gold ribbon, gold jewels, gold gold gold.

I think our colour scheme may be going out the window - OH & I both wanted purple with hot pink (sounds odd, but I only wanted flashed of hot pink to break up the purple) but now we've hit a problem.

I'm trying on dresses this weekend and I think the dress I like is in the sample sale and if that's the case, it'll only come with the red trim, not the purple that I want... So do you think red and purple will look ok together or do I need to change things?

im glad im not the only one we are having baby pink, white and silver
but now :o i think i want black and white
prob is i already have my dress
    not telling the h2b
  • :Doooohhhh Jimmy Choos - I'd love a pair... soooo jealous...
