It's so exciting to say that we are getting married next year! :j :j :j

We've got the venue booked and we've finalised the guest list - but that's it! I don't know where to start really...

It was the first thing out of my mouth after wishing my fiance a happy new year - we're getting married next year, YAY! A couple of my friends got engaged over Christmas as well so I've now got more people to talk weddings with

I've really lost track when it comes to planning though the last couple of months so it's time to get back into it. We've had so many problems with our venue & their lack of communication that it's really put a dampener on things. September 19th was when we confirmed we wanted to book - as things currently stand they still have yet to take a deposit off us I think a strongly worded letter is in order - will be popping back on here for advice about what I'm writing more than likely!

We're getting wed may 19th 2012 and we booked it feb LAST year!!
OMG its flown i really cant believe it and i kept saying to people " yea its not until 2012 ages away yet" but omg its NEXT YEAR!!!
Eeek this year is going to be mad!!

I have:
booked photog
chair covers
singer & dj
venue -obv lol

I have bought:
all glassware for sweet buffet
stationary ie. sticker labels, save the dates, thankyous, place cards materials for diys etc
some thankyou gifts
lady favour things (there big favors!)
mens favors
flip flops & basket

erm.... i have a full wardrobe full of stuff ive been pickin up weekly to avoid buying at once = big cost but storing is becoming an issue now im having to use xmas pressie space lol

i have now fished my folder back out to keep an eye on the savings plan and tick things off.

The only issue i have is my blummin centrepieces im SICK to death of thinking about them now last feb i was fine i wanted a fish bowl with floating flower but then i got thinking coz theres a few of friends getting wed same year its a common centrepiece so wanted something different and have been down the edible road but too many problems thinking about kids and poking things so ANY piccies ladies would be much appreciated im lookin for something i can pick up easily and put together xxx

OH and I have appointments to look at some venues this weekend and next weekend. Very excited about it all!

We haven't definitely decided on a month yet- May 2012 is what we are aiming for- so wouldn't join a month thread yet, but if there are a lot of people who have booked theirs/are certain then it could be a good idea.

It would be nice to split into months, but I'm not sure how many people there will be who have booked dates yet?

Becca, I think you should be the trendsetter and start a thread for your month - we'll follow as we gradually get our collective backsides in gear...
