  • My sister popped into a local branch of a chain store yesterday and was having a look. Just waiting to hear back from the last one of my 'ladies in waiting' to hear if they are all going to be matching on my big day now!!! They were all going to be wearing what they wanted but looks like that has changed now! Bonus is, they were only £65 and are down to £30. And sis knows most of the staff so she is trying to get some staff discount on them aswell! It's put a smile on my face :)

Choc-addict. Like you I don't want kids there as such so the only kids will be ours and my sisters kids. There are loads of other friends and family with kids but for everyones enjoyment we will not be asking them. We would rather the parents got to enjoy their day and all of the other guests too. And I would end up losing it with kids running round bashing into people all the time.....I'm not very tolerant! lol

Thanks for this MrsC....tobe. It's nice to see if from anothers point of view. OH and I have been fretting over it but now just getting used the idea that we have to put ourselves first as it's the only time we'll get married :D

Definitely. If you don't want children there, don't have them. Luckily there are only 2 in our families.
I have pretty much decided that I am going to make my own wedding cake. 48 cupcakes and a 6" round top tier! Someone tell me I'm not mental. We are also making all our own stationary and favours. Not going as far as the dress though!

  • Can't belive we can all say we're getting married next year! I might feel a bit more normal when booking stuff now as everyone was like you've got 2 years to go!

So, what is everyone's plan for this year? What do you want to get done? There's a wedding fayre at my venue this month so my plan is to start there. Have already got the photographer booked as well but not sure what to tackle next, hopefully the fayre will give me some inspiration.

    Happy New Year Everyone!

Sounds like your all getting sorted. Can't wait to share in all your planning. We found a reception venue we like. Just need to sort service then can book it all. Also have photographer lined up. Going to my first wedding fayre next weekend, exciting!

Wedding fayres are amazing. Try making a deal with company's tell them what you would like and what your budget is. You can get good deals.

My plans for the next couple of months is book the DJ, photographer and cars.
Im going to a wedding fayre next month which is a big event so i would like to get the DJ booked before he goes to the fayre.
You will find alot of people will already have loads off booking for 2012, i found some who are being booked for 2013!

mrsC..tobe hope the divorce gets sorted soon and you can start planning:)
