    BUMP!

Goodgirl80, sorry to hear it's getting you down - have you spoken to H2B about it? Maybe you could have a small ceremony with immediate family only (or just the two witnesses) and a bigger party another time? As long as you actually end the day as husband and wife everything else is details, after all!

How is everyone else getting along? H2B and I went to our first venue visit on Tuesday which was gorgeous, but we want to see a few more places before deciding.

Hope all your plans are going well

  • Hey lovely ladies,

Have you room for another 2012 bride to be??

I'm getting married on 14th July 2012. We got engaged July last year, and so far have only booked the chapel and wedding reception.

I went to a large wedding fayre last Saturday, but I'm having a total meltdown at the thought of how much everything's going to cost! I don't even know where to begin trying to cut the budget down?

    xx

nothing booked or planned as such

although because we both have our own homes we don't need anything and are asking our guest what skills they have to contribute to the wedding, have a dressmaker, a d.j. a part [STRIKE]animal
[/STRIKE]planner, we don't want to spend thousands so everything will be done a cheap as possible.
And my parents live in France so the honeymoon is sorted.

crap with money its all about making a list (have a look on wedding websites) on what you must have and what you want then finding it all at bargain prices in sales and on the internet, ebay is great
the venue is my biggest expense and theyve knocked down the prices to accomodate my budget(still over but its the place i want) maybe you could haggle with them?
I am not bossy I just have better ideas:p

Well we randomly decided to pop to a local wedding fayre today... wasn't going to go, it's getting to the point now where I can go around the exhibitors going 'I've already got your brochure... and yours... ooo free cake!' etc, but not today, oh no, not today. Today there was a bridal shop there I hadn't seen at a fayre yet, one that I'd been intending to ring to see if they stocked a particular dress I'd been eyeing up online. Yes, you guessed it, they not only stock it but had it on display at the stand! I'm completely in love, in fact I stood staring at it for about twenty minutes. Just got to find a way of affording it now!

Hi all, another 2012 bride here.

Got engaged in August and decided on 2012 to enable us time to save the pennies. Not sure whenabouts in 2012 hopefully earlier in the year as i'm impatient at waiting till 2012 already, don't think i'd have the patience to wait till the end of the year!

Been to 3 wedding fairs for ideas and had a look at a few venues online. Narrowed it down 2 or 3 possible venues and will be visiting them on our week off next month.

Nothing else bought or planned yet, it seems so far away but i'm sure it'll wizz by.

Anyways cant wait to share the next 15months with you all on here :)
