    Debt-free and Proud!
Do you know which bit you'll use yet?

As much of it as possible! We're going to try & keep to the converted barn part mainly, with the reception downstairs & the ceremony upstairs. There's the possibility though that they may be converting the room above our reception room (which is the same size & bigger than our current ceremony room = more of an aisle to walk down) which would be brilliant, as the old ceremony room would then become where we set up our afternoon tea/candy buffet tables.

Hopefully if it's not raining the courtyard will be where we have the afternoon tea, and I'm toying with the idea of creating some kind of 'treasure hunt' which would lead guests to the walled garden where an old fashioned ice cream vendor awaits them! But it's all just pipe dreams at the moment.

I feel so lucky to have found it, especially as I had previously discounted it due to only seeing the photo of the main hall and thinking it was 'too posh' for what we wanted!

Welcome and congrats bluefire and jane81

Bluefire that venue is lovely, would be nice at night and just outside having loads off candles. aww so romantic:D

    How is everyones plans going?

A friend had her 21st Birthday last weekend and her uncle was taking photos so i asked him if he does wedding photographer and he does and said he would do me a deal, so going to meet up with them soon and see what deal he will do and plus his wife joins as well and i would like to have two people there.
What does everyone feel about having the photographer come round the house in morning? Im still undecided - i know ive still got a long time to decide:rotfl:

I've decided a photographer at house in the morning is too intrusive just want it to be bridesmaids and my mum and dad. He is coming to take photo's of me leaving my parents house though as that's important but I figure I'm never going to put photo's of me in curlers and no make up in my wedding album either so.....

Will just make sure we've got a camera there to snap ourselves as we want to. I'm quite a stress head so would rather keep that private haha!!

I do like nosing at other people's photo's at home etc. haha!!

    xx
What's fur ye won't go by ye!
  • We have found THE wedding venue today. We have given up on the Holiday Inn. They did not have a clue and were really disorganised, which put me right off.

The new venue are letting me have the afternoon tea that i want:j.

    I just love it.

Just debating on the 3rd June or 15th Sept.

    xx
